Water & Fire Restrictions Update: Glenwood Springs to De Beque 💦🔥

With recent wildfire activity, drought conditions and Red Flag Warning days across our region, every drop of water—and every wildfire prevention effort—matters.

Many communities, agencies and partners have implemented watering guidelines and fire restrictions to help reduce wildfire risk and protect our watershed. Similar restrictions are being enacted across western Colorado as hot, dry and windy conditions continue.

The Middle Colorado Watershed Council and its Colorado River Wildfire Collaborative have compiled the latest information for communities from Glenwood Springs to De Beque, and we will continue updating the page as conditions change.

Standing near Glenwood Springs' water treatment facility, Doug reflects on the impacts of the Grizzly Creek Fire and the importance of preparing for future wildfire events before they happen.

As wildfire risk continues to grow across the region, MCWC is working with partners to strengthen watershed resilience and help protect the water resources our communities depend on.

The Collaborative brings together 40 partner organizations working to strengthen wildfire resilience across the watershed.
