🏡 A NEW CHAPTER BEGINS TODAY! 💙
Today we are celebrating a hardworking young mom who is taking another big step toward stability and independence — she is signing the lease to her new home! 🔑🏠
She has worked hard to get to this moment, and Halifax Urban Ministries is honored to walk alongside her on the journey. HUM is assisting with the move-in costs, helping remove one of the final barriers between this family and a safe, stable place to call home.
This is what our work is all about: helping families move from homelessness and uncertainty toward housing, stability, and self-sufficiency.
Congratulations on your new home! We are proud of you and excited for everything that comes next. ❤️

What an incredible display of generosity! Pictured are Brandy, our Program Manager, and Norman, our Caseworker, with Homer and his wife from Doghouse, who delivered an amazing amount of donations for our veterans at Barracks of Hope from the Port Orange Family Chiropractic Center!

💙 Meet Zanquisha Thompson! 💙
A Volusia County native, Zanquisha Thompson brings an incredible 19 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in residential care facilities, along with a background in business and criminal justice.
Zanquisha approaches her work with compassion and a belief that every interaction matters. She lives by the motto:
“It can be you today and me tomorrow.”
Her goal is to make sure every person she encounters walks away with something positive that can make a difference in their life—today or somewhere down the road.
We are so grateful to have someone with Zanquisha’s experience, heart, and dedication as part of the Halifax Urban Ministries family. Please help us give her a warm welcome! 💙💛
