π‘ Did You Know? North Country Wild Care Does NOT Have a Wildlife Facility! π¦π’π¦
North Country Wild Care is an entirely home-based volunteer network made up of licensed wildlife rehabilitators, hotline operators, and transport volunteers serving 9 counties across Upstate New York.
The photos below offer a glimpse into some of our rehabbers' home setups. Every cage, crate, brooder, and feeding station is carefully designed to give injured and orphaned wildlife the best possible care with one goal in mind, returning them to the wild where they belong.
π Our volunteers dedicate countless hours to answering calls, transporting animals, preparing specialized diets, cleaning enclosures, administering medications, and caring for hundreds of wild patients each year. We couldn't do it without them!
We also want people to know that North Country Wild Care is not your only option for finding a wildlife rehabilitator. During baby season, our hotline receives dozens of calls every hour, and it can be impossible for one volunteer to coordinate every situation.

π You can still reach our Wildlife Hotline at (518) 964-6740 (a different number will call you back), but checking these resources may connect you with help even faster.
Interested in making a difference? We're always looking for volunteers to help with rehabilitation, transport, hotline calls, events, and more.
Please SHARE to help others understand what goes into being a home-based wildlife rehabilitator and to spread the word that there are multiple resources available for wildlife in need.
Together, we're giving wild animals a second chance, one volunteer at a time. π¦πΏοΈπ¦
