UPDATE: AFTER THE STORM

From Cherie:

We are completely dried out at the rescue and have been able to do some repairs:

The Arf-anage sign has been repaired, a new pole put in and bolted down.

All the flags have been replaced.

The canopy covers have been ordered and will be here on Saturday, so we will replace them at that time.

Even though we do not know exactly how the water got into the garage at its foundation, we have backfilled the area and have to maintain a 'wait and see' with the next rain.

Not caught up on the laundry yet, but we do have plenty of detergent to get through the loads waiting.

Several rails on our perimeter fence were damaged; we have purchased the 2x4s to replace them; work in progress, one rail at a time.

We were able to salvage 3 out of 4 heaters in the storage unit that took on rain and have ordered a replacement for the one.

The records in the storage boxes in the office have been transferred to new boxes after drying out. Some damage, but not too bad; older years' records.

Two more sheds to go through.

We haven't had time to do any grounds work, so the area is still littered with branches and other debris. We'll get to all of that as time permits.

Thank you to Trish, Teresa, Melody and Marla from BHC for coming out to the rescue on Monday. They did a great job taking care of the chores in our big catteries and brought us a lot of goodies, detergent, bleach, liquid cleaners, towels, gloves, and much more. Kudos to the gals for all their help.

Hondo and Reeva are just two of our latest adoptions! We know they will have wonderful lives in their new homes. Thank you so much to everyone who adopts from any shelter/rescue!!
