CHEWIE FROM O'FALLEN, MISSOURI IS STILL LOOKING FOR A FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME!!

Say hello to Chewie, an almost 11 year old purebred male wheaten terrier located in O'Fallen, MO. Chewie's owner says he is an overall good boy that just cannot handle little children. Their grandchildren come over and they are trying to be proactive to make sure nothing happens. Chewie will bark and growl at them. He has never bitten or even attempted to bite, he just retreats. Chewie is said to be current on all vaccinations, housetrained with a door bell. He doesn't particularly care for other dogs, so he will need to be an only dog kind of guy. But he loves car rides and belly rubs!!!

Yes, Chewie is a senior boy, but he still has a lot of love to give to the right family. IMMEDIATE FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME NEEDED FOR SAILOR FROM ST. LOUIS, MO!!!!

Say hello to Sailor a 4 year old neutered male wheaten terrier located in St. Louis, MO. Sailor absolutely loves to people watch, bird watch through windows, doors or from the back deck and yard. He absolutely loves the snow and will head dive right into a snow drift. He is an active and curious guy and sometimes that gets him into trouble. Sailor is a counter surfer of the worst kind....and when he gets something off the counter, he doesn't want to give it back. He is currently on Apoquel chewables to help with allergies and is doing very well on it. Sailor needs a quiet home that is attentive to his needs. If he needs to go potty, he needs to go NOW and if you don't act, then it maybe too late!!! He gets along fine with most dogs, but has recently starting having skirmishes with the female dog in the home. So we are asking that he be the only dog in the family.

LUCY IS STILL LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME!!
Lucy is a 2 year old purebred wheaten terrier located in Auburn, NH. Lucy was a breeder release girl who has been in her current home for a little over a year. Lucy's surrendering owner says she has come such a long way since they got her, but she still struggles with coming in the house and eating when anyone is looking. She is a definite flight risk until she understands the routine and what is expected of her. When Lucy is happy, she is like a different dog!! She loves other dogs and comes alive when she is playing. She loves activity and going on walks. She loves belly rubs!!! The current family travel quiet a bit and this is very disruptive for Lucy. So we are looking for a home where Lucy can continue to love life and be a valuable family member. Lucy will do well with another dog in the home, and she will need a securely fenced yard to keep her safe. Say hello to Sandy a 7 month old spayed female wheaten terrier located in McLean, Illinois. Sandy is a sweet, energetic wheaten terrier puppy who was surrendered to a local rescue. They reached out to us to help find Sandy a new forever home. Sandy was said to be leaking urine while she slept occasionally in her original home and they didn't know how to handle it. The rescue has put her on Proin, but since she is in a kennel situation they don't know if it is working or not. Whoever ends up with Sandy must understand that if the proin isn't working, then she will probably need to wear a doggy diaper when sleeping.

LUCY IS LOOKING FOR A HOME!!!

Lucy is a 2 year old purebred wheaten terrier, spayed and current on all vaccinations who is looking for a quiet home with another male dog to be her buddy. Lucy is a puppymill survivor, so she will need a lot of extra love and patience. She has been living in a home for about a year, but the family travels quiet a bit, and Lucy just does not do well with all the changes. Lucy is a typical mill girl who has quiet a lot of fear of humans, so she will need someone to really work with her and give her time to adjust. She will not be a good dog for someone's first pet! She will not be a great dog if you have children living in the home, she really will do best in a settled household. She is a definite flight risk, so she will require a securely fenced yard for her new home.

Stella is a three year old wheaten terrier located in Center Moriches, New York who is looking for a new home. Stella is not getting along with the smaller dog in the home and she is acting really ugly to him!!! Stella adores people, she's housetrained, walks calmly on a leash and would be a welcome addition to a home that has no other dogs. Stella does bark at the door (but don't all wheatens!!) when company comes but quickly settles down once the door is open.

UPDATE: Thank you so much for all the interest and applications for these puppies. Unfortunately the breeder released them to a local "doodle" rescue, so I will not be placing them. I have tried to respond to everyone who has emailed me, but if I missed you, I'm really sorry!!! Thank you again for wanting to help with these puppies!!

We have been contacted by another rescue to help with placing 8 wheaten/poodle mixes in the Washington DC area. They are being released by a breeder who is getting out of the business. Puppies are 8 weeks old and there are 5 males and 3 females needing homes.
