Wondering what's next for you? Ready to dust off that buried dream? In this fun, interactive workshop, New York Times bestselling author Claire Cook will share practical tips as well as plenty of inspiration for finding your own next chapter.

Claire wrote her first novel in her minivan outside her daughter’s swim practice when she was 45. At 50 she walked the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of Must Love Dogs, starring Diane Lane and John Cusack. Her reinvention workshops have been attended by thousands of women (and a few good men!) as well as featured on the Today show. She is the author of 25 books for 40-to-forever women, including Never Too Late: Your Roadmap to Reinvention. Checkout our website for the full day schedule!

Anyone can be an inventor! 💡
Bring your curious kid to meet Jennifer Swanson, award-winning author as she takes you on an interactive "journey" of inventing firsts around the planet and across time. Have you ever wondered how a telescope was invented? The answer lies in what had to be invented before the telescope. We will look at technology through the lens of history and science to see how they are all interconnected. What will YOU invent? Activities and fun galore! Last year, Jennifer presented this at the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and the Smithsonian National Museum of National History. Jennifer’s STEM program will be a part of the Kid Zone at our 25th Anniversary Book Festival! Mark your calendars for THIS SATURDAY, February 28th from 3-3:40pm. You don’t want to miss this!

Our 2026 Book Festival is rapidly approaching! This is our 25th Anniversary Festival and we’ve been working diligently to make it extra special. The Festival will be on Saturday, February 28th from 10am-4pm at Fernandina Beach Middle School. We’ll have a variety activities all day, but want to share more about one of our amazing panel discussions! We are thrilled to welcome back award-winning authors such as David Baldacci and Philipp Meyer as they discuss going American Reckonings: The Architecture of Power, War and Legacy, moderated by our Honorary Chairman, Kevin Powers!

The panel discussion will be a conversation on the "Big American Novel." While their styles range from the sweeping historical epics of the Texas frontier to the visceral front lines of Iraq and the high-stakes corridors of Washington D.C., all three share a common obsession: the anatomy of the American mythos. Together, they will explore how violence shapes history, how the ghosts of the past haunt the modern thriller, and how—in an era of rapid change—the written word remains our most vital tool for making sense of a fractured world. You don’t want to miss this!

We are thrilled to welcome back award-winning authors such as Kristy Woodson Harvey, Kate Quinn and Ashley Elston as they discuss the Hollywood Hustle: The Truth about Options and Development, moderated by Donna Kaufman.

All three authors in this group currently have high-profile projects in the "pipeline" (optioned or in development), but none have a released adaptation yet. This makes them perfect for a discussion on the "business" side, as they are actively navigating the period between selling the rights and getting the green light, dealing with press announcements, waiting on scripts, and the uncertainty of whether the project will actually get made. You don’t want to miss this!
