The Lord’s Harvest is a 501(c)3 non-profit feeding ministry which began in 2011 in response to the immense hunger need in Western North Carolina; specifically in Madison County, where 70% of children are food insecure. Madison County ranks second in overall hunger in the State of North Carolina (Fifth in the nation). We currently serve over 1,500 families per month with potatoes, rice, pinto beans, stoneground cornmeal and onions, as well as a staple food box.

And Today Bill made a food delivery from Mercy Chef’s! Such a blessing to all who will receive these boxes (so many people are still struggling to make ends meet following Helene.) He had such wonderful helpers at Bolen’s Creek Baptist Church! These Great folks helped offload and deliver the boxes compassionately led by their Pastor Dr. Chris Morgan!

Even in this terrible heat, Bill is working so hard! He is having some frustration with tractor malfunctions. 🙏🙏🙏

Next week The Lord’s Harvest hosts Westover Church Eighth Grade Youth and their leadership from Greensboro!! Prayers appreciated for much work to be accomplished (including planting the rest of the potatoes!!)🥔
