🛝This week we welcome Katie Little with Families First as our speaker. Katie serves as the Child Enrichment Director at Families First and is looking forward to telling us more about their belief that with education, connection, play, and partnership, family groups become stronger and more resilient. They are making a BIG impact in our community!

🎸Thanks to everyone who worked our last concert -the incredible Bonnie Raitt- at KettleHouse Amphitheater. It was a terrific show and a robust season with Logjam Presents. Together we raised $10,000 to support children in our community!

Families First is seeking our next Executive Director!

This is an exciting opportunity for a thoughtful, collaborative leader who believes in the power of strong families, meaningful community partnerships, and free and accessible programming for children and caregivers.

For more than 30 years, Families First has been part of the Missoula community, creating opportunities for families to learn, connect, play, and grow together. Our next Executive Director will have the opportunity to build on that strong foundation while helping shape what comes next for the organization.

We’re looking for someone who is ready to lead with heart, think strategically, build relationships, and work alongside an incredible team and community of partners.

📚☀️🥪 That’s a wrap on Reading & Eating 2026! 💙💛

What a summer it’s been! Reading & Eating is a summer literacy + nutrition program that brings free books, healthy food, storytime, and fun learning activities right into rural and underserved Missoula communities. It’s all about helping kids stay nourished, engaged, and excited about reading all summer long! 📖✨
This year, 150+ children and families joined us for weekly gatherings. And together, we put 850+ books into the hands of young readers! 📚🎉

We’re so grateful for the amazing community partners, volunteers, families, and little readers who made this summer so special. 💛 Thank you to our community supporters, angel donors, and a rural grant from Missoula County, Montana that allowed us to purchase the books and school supplies needed to keep our Missoula kids reading this summer and ready for a new school year! 📚

📚✨That’s a wrap on our 2026 Back to School Bash! ✨🎒

We knew our community was ready for back-to-school season, but we were blown away! In the first 20 minutes, more than 120 children and families showed up to the Missoula Public Library to grab school supplies and get ready for a great year. Outside of the Library, we were able to deliver supplies to families in underserved, rural communities that need it most.💙📚

Having the right supplies can make a big difference for kids, it helps them feel prepared, confident, and ready to learn from the very first day of school. ✏️📓❤️

A HUGE thank you to our incredible community members who donated school supplies and helped make sure local kids have what they need to start the school year strong! Every gift, big or small, makes an impact.

And a very special THANK YOU to local businesses like the Jiffy L***s of Missoula and Missoula’s Office City for sponsoring the event and generously donating supplies. Your support made this day possible and helped us give back to so many families in our community! 🙌💛

Here’s to a happy, confident, and successful school year! We’re so grateful to our community for showing up for our kids.🎒
