For this week's , we go back to 2018 when Seymour High School Key Club members went trick-or-treating for canned goods and nonperishable items for our community food pantry on Halloween. Kneeling from left are Mia Berman, Mary Higdon, Eliana Baker and Erin Ott. Standing from left are Hannah Napier, Trey Morris, Sydney Berman, Angelina Corya, Katie Abernathy and Seth Warren.

They were joined by students from the school's FFA chapter, baseball team and Owl Theater Co. and the Seymour Kiwanis Club. Overall, 2,007 items were collected by more than 60 people.

Anchor House has run out of new pillows for the guests moving into our apartments. If you are able to donate and help us out, we would appreciate it!

Some other items we are running low on are earbuds, school folders, antibiotic ointment, dish soap, toilet bowl cleaner, and kitchen trashcans.

Items can be dropped off to Anchor House at 250 S. Vine Street

And on top of their Founding Sponsorship, First Financial Bank in Seymour will be hosting a food drive to support our new Mobile Pantry! We keep serving more and more people each month, and so stop by their branch to help us feed our community by providing emergency food assistance where it is needed most.

Anchor House is giving people Food for Today and Hope for Tomorrow.

This week's is from 2019 when Greg Hutcheson talked to Brownstown Central High School sophomores Hannah Hackman, Chloe Covert and Morgan Branaman as they trick or treated for canned goods as part of a student council project.

Nearly 900 items were gathered by the 24 members of the student council and delivered to Anchor House to be placed on the food pantry shelves for clients to take.
