In the hundreds of clients I have seen, there’s one prominent difference in successful outcomes.
Are you —or are you resisting?
Sometimes the thing standing between you and your next level isn’t a lack of ability.
It’s resistance.
Being coachable means being willing to hear what you don’t necessarily want to hear. It means receiving correction without taking it personally. It means asking, “What can I learn from this?” instead of immediately defending why you did what you did.
Growth requires humility. I am currently being coached in 4 different areas of my life.
If every piece of feedback feels like criticism…
If you always have an excuse…
If you only listen when someone agrees with you…
If you keep asking for advice but ignore it when it challenges you…
You may not need more information.
You may need to become more coachable.
The people who grow the fastest aren’t always the most talented. They’re often the most willing to listen, adjust, apply, and try again.
So ask yourself: Am I being coached, or am I resisting the very thing that could help me grow?
