Light a Candle Light a Candle exists to bring hope and sustainable change in the darkest corners of the world. Supporting refugees in Northern Iraq to regain hope and dignity.

We serve, love and care for those affected by war and trafficking. Our sponsor children come from the most remote parts of India. Most have been rescued from a life of illegal child labor or forced temple prostitution.

We are so thrilled to finally announce that we have officially begun drilling the first of 10 wells in remote villages in India!!

A family in America wanted to sow into Light A Candle and donated to provide ALL of these wells to villages, providing clean water to thousands of people!

Every family, every person, can make a difference in the lives of those in need, whether a gift that provides wells for 10 villages, sowing into a missionary, or sponsoring a child.

Every week we have a Healthy Kids Project here in a local village in Kurdistan.

The kids gather for a lesson on health and then learn a truth about God. We finish with games and challenges and after each program they leave with 3 pieces of fruit, a juice, and a water bottle.

The children look forward to each project and love to share what they’ve learned!
