Dr. Stephanie Chan and Dr. Bryan Doherty bring care and a little style to every family’s eyes. Both trained at the UC Berkeley School of Optometry, and both have volunteered their care for underserved communities in Costa Rica, the Philippines, and Ukraine.

Dr. Chan once served as PTA co-president at her daughter’s elementary school, so she knows what it means to show up for our schools.

Announcing the winners. Delivering the fun incentives to our schools.

A car full of boxes. Gift cards, prizes, popsicle promises. Seven schools to get to.

This is what 1,152,743 minutes turns into when you can finally hold it.

Teacher swag for the classrooms that read the most, raised the most and got every single student in on it. Student incentives for every reader who hit their goal and then kept going.

Congratulations to Worthington’s 6th grade 3rd period, the top class in reading at WCI for the WCEF Read a Thon.

That is a whopping 14,949 minutes of turning pages, logged by middle schoolers who decided to go for it together.
