You’re invited to a very special Winnie-the-Pooh celebration!
ElkhartCares is delighted to partner with the Elkhart Lake Public Library for a FREE Winnie-the-Pooh 100th Anniversary Party on Friday, October 2!
Join us for a morning filled with family fun, including:
🎬 10:00 a.m. — Interactive Movie at the Civic Center
Watch along with themed props, activities, movie snacks, and plenty of opportunities for kids to join in the fun!
🎨 10:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. — Crafts & Activities at the Library
Enjoy Winnie-the-Pooh-inspired crafts, hands-on activities, and prizes for kids—and kids at heart!
🧸 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. — Stuffie Drop-Off at the Library
Bring a favorite stuffed animal to spend the weekend at the library for a special Pooh Bear Stuffie Sleepover!
And there’s more! 🍿 Movie snacks will be provided for guests, coffee will be available for adult chaperones, and there will be special treats and prizes throughout the celebration.

Come for one activity or stay for the whole celebration. We can’t wait to celebrate 100 years of Winnie-the-Pooh with our community! 💛 No RSVP is needed. Families are still welcome to enjoy the movie, activities, crafts, and lots of other goodies.

Celebrating the first week of fall with a few favorite moments from Elktoberfest this past weekend. 🍂🎃💛
Pumpkin painting, cookie decorating, games, root b**r, and lots of smiles made for such a sweet start to the season.
We loved getting to create a little fall fun for local children and families, and we’re so grateful to everyone who came out, volunteered, and helped make the day so special.
Here’s to a season filled with community, connection, and plenty of happy memories. 🍁

Growth takes time. Even the strongest trees were once buried seeds. 🌱💛
And sometimes, a little support at the right moment can make all the difference.
ElkhartCares is here to help students and families in the Elkhart Lake–Glenbeulah community grow and thrive. That might mean helping a family put nutritious food on the table, providing clothing for a growing child, or giving a teacher the resources to bring a meaningful classroom experience or field trip to life.
This past school year, your support helped us fund transportation for students to experience Frozen Jr. the Musical and continue supporting the Adopt a Buddy program, which brings Elkhart Lake–Glenbeulah Middle School students together with residents of Rocky Knoll for meaningful intergenerational connection.
These are just a few of the ways neighbors helping neighbors can plant seeds of opportunity, connection, and hope throughout our community.

Every program we offer begins with the same belief: when neighbors look out for one another, the whole community thrives. 💛
ElkhartCares works closely with the Elkhart Lake–Glenbeulah School District to help identify needs early and connect students and families with support. Teachers, counselors, and school staff know their students well. They may notice when a child needs properly fitting clothing or shoes, is missing essential school supplies, could benefit from additional food support, or is facing another challenge that may be making it harder to learn and thrive.
With care, dignity, and confidentiality, school staff can connect these needs with ElkhartCares so we can help provide assistance.
Families and individuals can also reach out to us directly. Whether a household is facing an unexpected expense, a difficult season, or simply needs a helping hand, our neighbors-helping-neighbors approach is here to offer hope and assistance.

Tomorrow ElkhartCares will once again offer the Root B**r Garten at Elktoberfest, September 19, from 10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. at Village Square Park in downtown Elkhart Lake. Kids and their families can stop by, enjoy festive non-alcoholic beverages, cookie decorating, and activities, and spend time together without worrying about the cost.
Visitors can expect a welcoming children’s area with fall fun, activities, and plenty of opportunities to simply enjoy being together.
For ElkhartCares, these moments are part of a larger mission to support families, strengthen community connections, and help ensure that everyone has opportunities to participate and thrive.

ElkhartCares was honored to support local student Evelyn Loeffler with a scholarship for an enriching summer educational opportunity. 🎓💛
Making the moment even more special, the scholarship was presented by ElkhartCares volunteer Saylor, an Elkhart Lake–Glenbeulah alum and former ElkhartCares scholarship recipient herself—a wonderful example of how support can come full circle in our community.

This past school year, ElkhartCares was proud to provide a grant to Elkhart Lake–Glenbeulah High School to help continue its college-credit yoga physical education course. 🧘‍♀️💛
After seeing an increased need for tools to support student well-being following the COVID-19 pandemic, the school’s physical education teacher developed this unique course to introduce students to practices like yoga, mindfulness, and meditation. ElkhartCares funding helped cover the cost of bringing an instructor into the classroom, giving students the opportunity to learn these skills through meaningful, in-person instruction.
It’s one more way your support helps bring valuable opportunities and resources directly to local students.
