Alicia Miller and I had the opportunity to attend the BizConnect Hampton Roads Non-Profit Showcase and learn about 33 community organizations that do so much good!
Later on, I was honored to present at the Women's Division Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Chesapeake and share about how JustServe can help communities grow stronger through volunteerism. What an amazing group of ladies!

🧡 We hope you all had a great weekend! This week is MARKET WEEK at Buffalow Family & Friends, and we are currently in need of volunteers.

🎓 We are specifically looking for college students home for the summer, as well as graduating high school seniors preparing for their next chapter.

🛒 If you have free time this upcoming Thursday, May 28th, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until approximately 2 p.m., we would love for you to come help us conduct our community market.

SOS! 🚨 We’re running very low on paper grocery bags. Did you know 500 bags cost us $100? We’d much rather spend that money on fresh food for our neighbors! If you have spare bags, please drop them off at the Pantry. Thank you for your support! ❤️

From big catches to big smiles, your photos will help us share the impact of this special day for our veteran service members. 🙌

About a week ago I had the opportunity to visit not ONE, not TWO, but THREE nonprofits as part of the America250/JustServe Partnership. These three organizations do so much good for the local community!
*Oasis Social Ministry has been in operation for 54 years! They run a client choice food and clothing pantry, free library as well as a community kitchen (they provide 2,500+ meals a month!)
*The LGBT Life Center provides so many different things for community neighbors: a client choice food pantry, a free library, a career clothing closet, a full service clinic and pharmacy, as well as housing assistance. They even host a business fair twice a year so people can interview for jobs on the spot!
*Buffalow Family and Friends Community Days has been in operation for 16 years and serves families, veterans, homeless and senior populations. They run a regular pop-up market at their South Norfolk location, operate a salon, deliver meals and grocery bags to homebound seniors, and undertake a HUGE Thanksgiving meal distribution (to the tune of 30,000+ Thanksgiving meals!)
