A big welcome to our Neuro-Fit interns! Students from Endicott College, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, Tufts University, and UMass Lowell will spend the semester in a hands-on environment, working alongside our experienced staff to create and implement individualized exercise programs and provide long-term fitness solutions for brain injury survivors and people with Parkinson’s Disease and other neurological conditions.

Follow along this semester as we highlight our fall interns and the progress of the individuals with whom they are working. Interns are integral to our program, and we are so thankful to have them on board!

Staff, loved ones, supporters of our organization, and local officials came together last week for a ceremony to rename Supportive Living, Inc.’s inaugural residential program Carrol House to honor the late Carrol Stephens, the organization’s co-founder and the program's pioneer.

The day also marked the opening of Scott’s Place within Carrol House, to honor the late Scott Stephens, Carrol’s son, who was the inspiration for the program.

Thank you to all who attended the event for your dedication and support.

Thank you, Bailey Saputo, for your meaningful contributions to Neuro-Fit this summer! Bailey, a senior at Merrimack College, provided feedback following her internship through our Intern-Assisted Training Program.

College students, trained and supervised by clinical staff, provide direct support to individuals with brain injury and other neurological conditions through this unique service model. Students pursuing careers in health care fields get hands-on educational experience while providing one-on-one assistance to help participants regain strength and mobility.

Most falls are preventable, and at Neuro-Fit, we help participants reduce their risk of falls through exercises that build strength, balance, coordination, and confidence.
