🎉🏃♂️🏃♀️ What an incredible morning at the 1st Annual Freeway Sanford 5K! 🙌❤️
What a beautiful sight it was to see so many people come together to walk, run, roll, volunteer, serve, sponsor, and cheer one another on—all for the mission of seeing broken lives restored in Sanford, Seminole County, and beyond! 💙
We are incredibly grateful for every participant, volunteer, sponsor, family member, and supporter who helped make our very first 5K such a special day. 👏🎊
🏆 A huge congratulations to Jonah Fredell, our overall top finisher, who took home the $200 Fit2Run gift card! Way to go, Jonah! 👟🔥
💧 A special thank you to the Rotary Club of Sanford for coming out and keeping everyone hydrated along the way!
💪 We are also grateful for Armor Up Recovery Homes and Ministry for showing up, supporting the mission, and being part of such an encouraging day.
⛪ And a HUGE shoutout to Restoration Church of Sanford, the local church where this ministry is anchored, supported, prayed for, and sent out from.
Who would have thought six years ago, when this all began simply with Pray for Sanford, that the Lord would bring us to a morning like this? 🙌 What a reminder that God often begins His work through ordinary prayer, faithful people, and a local church willing to love its city.
We are so thankful for our Restoration Church family—for praying, giving, serving, encouraging, and continually supporting the work of Freeway Sanford. This ministry does not exist apart from the love, sacrifice, and faithful support of the local church. ❤️
🏛️ We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the City of Sanford, Mayor Art Woodruff, our city officials, and everyone involved in helping make this event possible. We are grateful for your partnership, support, and investment in our community.
And finally, one BIG thank you to our fearless leader, Pastor Traie Odom, Director of Freeway Sanford, and his partner in crime, Savanna Odom! 😂❤️ Your leadership, sacrifice, vision, prayers, long hours, and love for people have helped carry this ministry forward in such a beautiful way. We are deeply grateful for both of you and for the way you continue to pour yourselves out for the sake of seeing lives restored.
From those crossing the finish line 🏁 to those serving behind the scenes ❤️, every person played a part in making this day possible.
Thank you, Sanford! Thank you to every sponsor and supporter! 🙌
We can’t wait to see what God continues to do as we work together to see lives restored, families strengthened, and hope brought to our community.
🎉 Year ONE is officially in the books—and we’re just getting started!
