After thoughtful consideration, Mentors For Williams County has made the difficult decision to discontinue our mentoring program.

Since our founding in 2020, we have been honored to connect caring adult mentors with young people in our community. These relationships have created meaningful experiences and lasting impact, and we are incredibly grateful to the mentors, families, volunteers, and partners who helped make this work possible.

Due to limited volunteer capacity and the time required to properly operate the organization, we are no longer able to sustain the program in the way our youth deserve.

We are currently notifying all mentors, families, and partner organizations. When appropriate and supported by families, mentors may choose to continue their relationships with youth independently outside of the formal program.

Any remaining funds will be donated to another organization that supports youth in need so that these resources can continue benefiting young people in our community.

We often meet with those who work closely with children and families—and some of the stories we hear about what our youth are facing are not easy to take in. Challenges that may seem simple to you or me can feel overwhelming when no one has ever shared with them how to navigate them. Many of these kids are bright, full of potential, and capable of amazing things—but life has placed them in difficult circumstances.

That’s where YOU come in. 💙
