Several years ago, Founder and CSO (chop saw operator) of U.P. She Builders, Kate Havel (pictured right) enrolled in the building technology program at NMU to further expand her education and experience in the construction field. Yesterday, she and the rest of the class of 2022 were recognized as OFFICIAL graduates during a super special hard hat ceremony at the Jacobetti Complex. Kate is pictured here with the only other female graduate of this class, Julie Tokarz (center) and the lone female faculty member of the program, Heidi Blanck (left). Congratulations to all the 2022 graduates!!!

Side note: While this photo is certainly something to celebrate, it's also a clear indicator that there are not nearly enough females in the construction industry. Don't worry, U.P. She Builders plans to change that. ️😍
