🎙️ I recently sat down with Amir A. Abdalla on the Ishkama Podcast for a conversation on the human side of leadership and transformation — and it stirred something in me I want to share.

Leadership isn’t just a title. It’s a discipline you grow into — often through the very things that could break you. I’ve come to believe that most leaders spend years mastering how to lead others, but far fewer ever do the harder work of learning to lead themselves.

That’s where the real transformation happens. Not in the strategy, not in the title — in the posture of the heart.

Throughout my journey, I’ve leaned on truths like John Maxwell’s Law of Process — leadership develops daily, not in a day — alongside a foundation rooted in Scripture: that true leadership is servant leadership. Legacy isn’t built through performance. It’s built through presence, through care, through showing up for people and community consistently, even when no one’s watching.

People don’t just need answers. They need care. That’s a principle I try to carry into every room I lead in — whether it’s ministry, community development, or building something from the ground up.
