Great recruiting event at the Platte County High School Military Appreciation Noght, the atmosphere was great and the crew manning the table met with many people in the community. 5 new members joined and 1 transferred in. Also the comrades at the table were able to engage our youth about the opportunity for scholarships with the Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen contests. All in all it was a very successful night. Shout outs to Bob Munsey, Vincent Bramble and Russ Martin for manning the table at the event and a big shout out to Scott Peterson for getting the arrangements made for us to have this event.

🇺🇸 **VFW POST 4055 OUT IN OUR COMMUNITY!** 🇺🇸

It was a great day for **VFW Post 4055** at the Platte City Fire Department Farmers Market!

Five of our Post comrades spent four hours meeting Veterans, families, and members of our community—and we had plenty to talk about! Our mission is about more than meetings. It is about **Veterans helping Veterans, remembering those who never came home, and staying connected with the community we serve.**

During the event, our Post:

🌺 Handed out **more than 50 Buddy Poppies** and received **over $59 in donations** in support of Veterans.

🇺🇸 Distributed **more than 45 American flags** to members of the community.

🎖️ Met and talked with **more than 10 local Veterans**, sharing information about the VFW and the services and camaraderie available through our Post.

🤝 Connected with **three Veterans interested in joining the VFW**, who completed membership forms and will be invited to our next Post meeting.

🖤🤍 Honored our nation’s **POW/MIA** and talked with community members about Missouri VFW efforts supporting the **Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency mission to bring our fallen home**.

Most importantly, we had the opportunity to spend the day talking with our neighbors about **Veterans, service, remembrance, and the VFW mission.**

A big thank-you to our Post members who volunteered their time and to everyone who stopped by the booth, picked up a poppy or flag, made a donation, or simply took a few minutes to talk with us.

**This is what VFW Post 4055 is all about—serving Veterans, honoring those who served, and staying involved in our community.** 🇺🇸

Had a GREAT time at the Platte City chamber 4th of July celebration at Platte City downtown! We met several Veterans, handed out over 400 small flags, braved the rain!

We were able to help two Veterans with VA info and advised/provide information to one Veteran on containg the Missouri VFW VSO! Yeah!

We had one Comrade from VFW Post 56 who lives in the Platte County area contact us about transferring into the Post!

We also had our POW/MIA flag and chair for our missing Comrades on displayed and shared information with the Community.

Overall it was a great event!
