All orchid bees and honeybees got charged and wrestled off the flower (see videos)! Native bees were patrolling the bee balm, only allowing themselves and the big carpenter bee to forage. Lookout for the “nonnative canine” that makes an appearance too 🥺Highlights from this year’s Great Southeast Pollinator

This method of sowing seeds is the smartest thing ever. It saves so much time and space. There’s no need to up pot from a seed tray to 4” pot. The roots have so much space and they don’t go through transplant shock. Not to mention you’re using free materials that would otherwise be going in the trash. It takes me about 15 minutes to cut a bag into 4 strips and roll up 4 snails, which equates to almost 100 plants and can fit in a 1020 tray! Thank you for helping so many people be better equipped to grow their own food!
