Last week, we had the opportunity to attend the Virginia Law Foundation’s Grant Recipient Luncheon, and we left feeling incredibly grateful—not only for their generous support of Blue Ridge CASA, but for the chance to learn about so much good work happening across Virginia. 💙

It was wonderful to hear from fellow grant recipients working to expand access to justice, support the rule of law, and provide law-related education in communities across the Commonwealth.

Thank you to the Virginia Law Foundation for supporting our mission, bringing everyone together, and giving us the opportunity to celebrate the important work being done throughout Virginia!

Today, we join so many in remembering Dolly Parton—a woman whose legacy reaches far beyond her music. 💙

Through her generosity, kindness, and lifelong commitment to children, Dolly showed just how much good one person can put into the world. Her belief in giving back and helping others is a legacy that will continue to inspire for generations.

May we all carry a little of that spirit forward by looking for ways to show up, care for others, and do some good in the lives of those around us.

Good news—we've extended the deadline! 💙

If becoming a CASA volunteer has been on your mind, you now have until August 31 to submit your application and join our fall training class.

Local children need dedicated adults willing to show up, listen, and advocate for them. If you've been waiting for the right time to take that first step, this could be it.

🎉 Happy 4-year work anniversary to Emily! 💙

For the past four years, Emily has been such a valued part of Blue Ridge CASA as one of our Advocate Managers serving the Staunton-Augusta-Waynesboro region.

Emily is warm, kind, listens without judgment, approaches situations with thoughtfulness and understanding, and is someone both advocates and coworkers know they can turn to for guidance they trust. Her steady support of her advocates ultimately strengthens the work they are able to do for the children they serve.

We are incredibly grateful for Emily and all she has brought to Blue Ridge CASA over the past four years. Happy CASAversary, Emily! 💙

Today is National Nonprofit Day, a chance to celebrate the organizations working every day to make their communities a little stronger. 💙

At Blue Ridge CASA, we're especially grateful for the people who make our work possible—our volunteer advocates, donors, community partners, board members, staff, and everyone who believes children deserve to feel safe, heard, and supported.

We're proud to be part of a community filled with so many nonprofits doing meaningful work, and grateful to everyone who helps us do ours.

We had a wonderful time on Tuesday evening at Business After Hours hosted by Cave Ridge Vineyard and Winery 🍷💙

It was a great evening connecting with others from across the Shenandoah Valley and spending time with so many members of our local business community.

Thank you to the Shenandoah County Chamber of Commerce for bringing everyone together and hosting another great opportunity to connect!

🧩 And just like that, all the pieces came together!

Last month, our friends at The Alpine Goat Brewery gave their patrons the opportunity to learn more about Blue Ridge CASA, add a piece to our community puzzle, and make a donation to support our mission.

By the end of the month, the puzzle was complete—and together, you helped raise $481 to support our work with local children who have experienced abuse or neglect. 💙

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, added a piece, made a donation, or took a moment to learn more about CASA. And a huge thank you to Alpine Goat for hosting us and giving our community another way to come together for local children!
