Thanks to our friends at Tidal Wave Auto Spa and everyone who came out for Tidal Wave Charity Day, we raised $2,690.45 to support our work advocating for local children!

These funds will help us recruit, train, and support the dedicated CASA volunteers who advocate for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Blue Ridge CASA offices will be closed on Monday, October 12 for the holiday. We’ll return to our regular business hours on Tuesday, October 13. 💙

What a magical race day! ⚡💙

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Firebolt 5k and Race of 100 Harrys - Virtual or In-Person! Whether you ran, walked, cheered from the sidelines, or simply came out to be part of the fun, your participation helps support the work of Blue Ridge CASA and the children we serve.

We’re also incredibly grateful for the volunteers who gave their time to help make race day possible. We couldn’t do it without you!

A little rain couldn’t stop us from having a great time at Tidal Wave Charity Day last Friday! 🚙💙

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to get their car washed, made a donation, or simply came over to say hello. We loved getting to spend the day with so many people from our community while raising support for Blue Ridge CASA.

A huge thank you to Tidal Wave Auto Spa for including us in this year’s Charity Day and giving back to organizations like ours. And thank you to the Staunton Sheriff’s Office for spending the day alongside us, helping us raise money, and showing their support.

We’re so grateful to everyone who made the day such a fun one. 💙

Our fall advocate training class is officially underway! 💙

Last Saturday, 24 potential new CASA volunteers joined us for their first day of training, and we are so excited for this group to begin their journey toward becoming advocates. Over the coming weeks, they’ll continue learning, asking questions, and preparing for the important role of advocating for children in our community.

We’re also incredibly grateful to everyone who helped us kick off training with a great first day! Thank you to Staunton Bagel for the delicious bagels (which disappeared so quickly we barely managed to get a photo! 😂), the Staunton Public Library for providing us with a wonderful space to gather, and Katie at Fishersville Community Church for keeping everyone fueled with coffee and fruit.

We can’t wait to see what the weeks ahead hold for this group!

Happy 2-year work anniversary to Heather! 💙

For the past 2 years, Heather has brought so much warmth and kindness to Blue Ridge CASA as an Advocate Manager serving both our SAW and Lexington/Rockbridge/Buena Vista regions.

Heather has a huge heart and a gift for seeing the best in everyone. She brings joy and compassion to everything she does and has a special way of forming genuine connections with the people she meets. Whether she’s supporting an advocate, working through a challenge, or simply taking the time to listen, Heather makes people feel comfortable, understood, and cared for. We’re so grateful for all she brings to CASA.

We truly enjoy having Heather on our team and are so happy to celebrate 2 years with her. Happy CASAversary, Heather! 💙
