Barney was in need of a new home when the two senior dogs of the home passed away within a month of each other and the change in dynamic caused a few fights with him and his 3 year old pit bull sibling. His owners tried working extensively with a trainer and behaviorist to make things work but it didn’t help. Barney’s owner has been trying to be very responsible and felt that the pit bull could not be re-homed so she made the difficult decision to let Barney go, as he is a very good boy who was not instigating the fights. Shortly after learning about Barney, we received an application from a nice guy named Bryan. He is very active, just like Barney, and seemed like the perfect match. We are happy to share that today Barney met and went to his foster-to-adopt home with Bryan. Special thanks to Shawn and Marika Metting McCarthy for meeting and evaluating Barney.
