Meet Megan, a student at the New England School of Mission 🇺🇸 Originally from Long Island, New York, she is currently working full-time in ministry in Boston.

Megan deeply loves God and carries a contagious enthusiasm that makes people instantly feel welcomed! She is passionate about living radically for Christ and dreams of serving on the mission field one day!

Megan is adventurous, fun, and always ready for the next challenge — whether that’s serving wholeheartedly, rock climbing, or finding the best burger spot in town 😋 There are also reports that she sleeps with her eyes slightly open. We’re not saying it’s concerning, but we are saying it explains how she’s somehow always ready and alert  🌚🌝

Megan also joined the CHORD Connect Class this semester. Swipe to see the unexpected moment she met her CHORD Connect discussion group facilitator from DAKUSOM (the School of Mission in Kenya), in person at last month’s Church Builders Conference! 🇰🇪🇺🇸

Megan, thank you for your energy, your faithfulness, and your wholehearted love for Jesus! ❤️

Faithful work is never wasted. 🌿

Even when growth feels slow, God is cultivating something deeper than we can see.

Meet Philip Kotgyalkar, a student at the Bangalore School of Mission (BSOM) in Bangalore, India. He joined BSOM this year and has been faithfully joining the CHORD Connect Class this semester.

Philip comes from a faithful background that shaped his conviction to serve God. He pursued his degree with the clear goal of joining BSOM and has already shown strong leadership, initiative, and spiritual maturity. He is sincere, hardworking, and deeply willing to sacrifice for God’s kingdom.

Also, he’s hilarious. All those we contacted told us he carries humour wherever he goes. There are concerns of his use of shampoo as face wash though, but hey, a routine is a routine. Philip is passionate about the Delhi cricket team, the Delhi Capital, especially the cricketeer KL Rahul.

Philip, we are grateful for all your dedication and your heart for God!

📚🏫 TJ Paresi — Emerging Scholar Update!

Congratulations to TJ Paresi on his acceptance into the Randolph Mentoring Program!

The program aims to connect selected scholars with Church of Christ affiliated universities for mentoring, teaching opportunities, and faculty positions.

TJ has completed his comprehensive examinations and is currently writing his dissertation. His research explores the composition and formation of the Hebrew Bible, with an emphasis on the Joseph Story (Gen 37–50).

We are proud of TJ and grateful to celebrate this milestone with him as he continues to embody CHORD’s commitment to thoughtful scholarship and faithful leadership 🙏🎉

Meet Marrion Sally, a student of the Dan Kuria School of Mission (DAKUSOM) in Nairobi, Kenya 🇰🇪, and part of our current CHORD Connect class.

Marrion is truly a gentle and pure-hearted soul—someone whose warmth and authenticity shine brighter the more you get to know her. 🥰 She’s the kind of friend who doesn’t shy away from telling you the truth, bringing both honesty and joy into every relationship. Her laughter is contagious, but even more inspiring is her deep love for God and passion for ministry. As one of her fellow students at DAKUSOM shared with us: “She can and will study the Bible with anyone she knows or meets.” ♥️

Outside of ministry, Marrion enjoys unwinding with lo-fi music, watching action movies, and exploring creative hobbies like candle making and swimming. 🏊‍♀️

Marrion, thank you for your servant heart and the genuine love you bring to everyone around you—we’re so grateful for you! 🥳🇰🇪
