Meet Janita Balid. Janita is on her third and final year of the Bangalore School of Mission. She and her husband Joel are currently in Pune for their final months of training and are currently serving in the church there.

Janita is an open book in the best of ways. Funny, expressive, and full of energy — her face narrates her whole day before her mouth even speaks. If you want her on ger good side, give a warm plate of Paav Bhaaji and you’ve made a best friend for life. She is also currently 6 months pregnant with her first child! Congratulations to both Janita and Joel! 🥳👶🏽🥹

At CHORD, we believe that leadership development is a lifelong journey. We are excited to begin a new chapter of continued leadership formation. The goal is to create space for seasoned leaders to deepen their formation and lead from a place of wisdom, maturity, humility and faithful presence.

📚 Hannah DeSouza — Emerging Scholar Update!

After earning her Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School, Hannah is now at the University of Oxford on a full scholarship, pursuing a Master of Applied Theology (MTh) with hopes of continuing into doctoral study.

Her work explores narrative in Scripture, liberation theology, and making theology more accessible to the everyday Christian. Alongside her studies, Hannah continues to invest in teaching ministries around the world, co-hosting the Thread Podcast and recently serving as a keynote speaker at both the North American Church Builders Conference and the NASCON Singles Conference in Baltimore.

We are so proud of and grateful for Hannah as she continues to grow as a scholar, teacher, and theological voice 🙏

Together, we’re creating space for leaders to deepen their formation and lead from a place of wisdom, maturity, humility and faithful presence.
