The Carteret County Sheriff's Office and Carteret County Emergency services is proud to introduce The Special Needs Occupant Program. This free, voluntary program designed to help first responders better serve residents with special needs during emergencies.

🎃 Attention Story Explorers’ Families! 🎃

Frankie the Candy Monster is HUNGRY and needs your help! As we gear up for our annual trick-or-treat event during playgroups (October 27th-29th), we’re inviting you to join the fun and help us fill Frankie’s belly with delicious treats.

If you can donate a bag (or two!) of individually wrapped candy, please “Feed Frankie” the next time you come to playgroup. The more goodies, the bigger the monster’s grin—and the more fun for all our little Story Explorers!

Miss Kindra and our Story Explorers’/KP&L families had a great time at October’s field trip to Garner Farms Fall Festival! If you were not able to join the fun, their Fall Festival runs thru Oct. 31st.

Angel Tree applications dates and locations.

We have opened the following dates and locations for Angel Tree Applications:

October 6, 12, 15 and 19 from 9-12 and 1-3 on site at 2800 Bridges St. with Spanish Interpreter on site.
October 6th at Eastport at The Park, Beaufort NC from 5-6:30 PM
October 22nd Beaufort Housing Authority, Beaufort NC from 5-6:30PM
You may also call 252-726-7147 to schedule an appointment
You will need to bring:
-Valid Picture ID (driver’s license, passport or state ID)
-Proof of Residency (current utility bill for residence)
-Medicaid or SNAP Letter with amount and names of household
-Verification of Age of Children (Birth Certificate for children age one & under 12)
NO EXCEPTIONS—DO NOT BRING CHILDREN
