24 HOURS UNTIL DELCO PRIDE FEST!

Tomorrow, we take over the heart of Upper Darby for one of the largest free Pride festivals in the region, and we want you there.

Delco Pride Fest is more than a festival. It's a celebration built by community members, activists, volunteers, local organizations, small businesses, and neighbors who believe everyone deserves a place to belong.

Join us at 100 Garrett Road from 1 PM – 6 PM for a day filled with live performances, community resources, family-friendly activities, over 120 vendors, and some of the best food you'll find anywhere in Delaware County.

Come support our immigrant-owned businesses. Grab lunch from local family-run restaurants and food vendors. Connect with organizations doing important work in our community. Celebrate our LGBTQIA+ community. Make new friends. Build community.

At a time when so many people are trying to divide us, Delco Pride is about coming together and showing what a welcoming, diverse, and vibrant community looks like.

We also want to extend a special thank you to our Rainbow Presenting Sponsor, . Their support has helped make this free community celebration possible and has allowed us to continue creating spaces where LGBTQIA+ people and our allies can gather, celebrate, and build community together.

Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring your Pride.

We'll see you tomorrow in Upper Darby.

Today, we remember the 49 lives stolen from us at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando ten years ago.

On June 12, 2016, what should have been a night of joy, community, and celebration became one of the darkest days in LGBTQIA+ history. Forty-nine people, many of them young, q***r, and Latino, never made it home. Fifty-eight others were wounded. The pain of that loss is still felt across our communities today.

Pulse was more than a nightclub. It was a sanctuary. A place where people could be themselves, find community, dance, laugh, love, and exist without apology.

Ten years later, we honor the victims, survivors, first responders, families, and everyone whose lives were forever changed by that night. We remember not only how they died, but how they lived.

As attacks on LGBTQIA+ people continue across our country, the legacy of Pulse reminds us why visibility, solidarity, and community matter. Our response to hate must always be love, courage, and action.

May we never forget the 49 whose lives were taken too soon. Their names, their stories, and their light remain with us.

Delco Pride Fest is this Saturday, June 13, from 1PM–6PM at 100 Garrett Road in Upper Darby.

The weather is looking great, with sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 80s. Make sure to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, or a fan and be ready for a full day of celebrating with the community.

We'll have more than 120 vendors, live music, drag performances hosted by VinChelle, family activities, a beer and wine garden, a Best Dressed competition, community organizations, and plenty more throughout the day.

Getting here is easy. Take SEPTA to 69th Street Terminal and hop on the D1/101 or D2/102 trolley to the Fairfield Avenue stop right at the festival. Driving? We strongly encourage people to use the free 69th Street Shoppers Lot and follow the signs and volunteers to the festival, just a short walk away.

After the festival, keep the celebration going with Pride on Garrett, including free karaoke at El General Zapata from 6PM–8PM.

Whether you've been coming for years or this is your first Delco Pride, we'd love to have you join us.

Parking and transit for Delco Pride Festival

We highly encourage everyone to use the 69th Street Shoppers Lot for festival parking. Once you park, exit onto Chestnut Street and follow the signs to the festival. It is only about a 5–10 minute walk to 100 Garrett Road.

There will be signage around downtown to help people navigate, and volunteers will also be available to point you in the right direction.

Taking transit is one of the easiest ways to get here. You can get directly off on festival grounds at the Fairfield Ave stop on the D1 and D2 trolley. Several bus lines also bring you right to 69th Street Terminal, just a short walk from the festival.

If you need to park closer, there is metered parking on Ludlow Street and street parking where available on Brandon Road, Copley Road, Glendale Road, and Long Lane.

Once you park or arrive by transit, put 100 Garrett Road into your GPS or Google Maps and you’ll be only minutes away from one of the largest festivals in Delco.

Unfortunately, we must take a break from our promotion of Delco Pride to address what we woke up to this morning.

Punching, batons, tasers, masked officers, and hundreds of officers and mounted units being used to clear out the gayborhood. We also saw baracades preventing free movement on the sidewalks to even access the gayborhood.

Although we're still learning more details as we go, what we're seeing enrages us.

Can we really sit here and say that Homophobic, Transphobic, and racist aggression wasn't directed at the community last night?!

The safety of the community must come first and we call on people and leaders to bear witness to the overpolicing and what transpired last night and demand action.

Regardless of the parties, the people, and more. We see the subtext and the truth of last night and it violates the essence of q***r liberation.

There is an emergency rally today and we encourage people to attend at 6pm at 13th and Walnut.

What a day, Delco! 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️🎉✊️

Thousands of people filled the streets of Media today for the Delco Pride Parade and Pride on State, making this one of the largest celebrations our community has ever seen.

From the 200-foot Pride flag to the incredible performances, vendors, businesses, community organizations, and supporters who showed up, thank you for helping make this event such a tremendous success.

Thank you to for bringing the flag again this year. It's a huge hit everytime.

There's something so Delco about carrying the Pride flag through Media chanting "unfair laws won't keep us quiet, don't forget Stonewall's a riot!" May we keep that energy going each year!

We'll be posting more photos soon, for now, it is time for our team to rest.

However.... Pride Month in Delaware County isn't over yet!

Join us tomorrow at Swarthmore Pride, and then get ready for the Delco Pride Festival next Saturday, June 13, from 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM at 69th Street in Upper Darby.

Expect thousands of attendees, over 130 vendors, live entertainment, drag performances, community resources, food, music, activism, and thousands of LGBTQIA+ people and allies coming together to celebrate who we are.

Let's keep the momentum going and make next weekend even bigger!

All event information can be found at udtj.org/delcopride.
