PAWS "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." -- Margaret Mead

Vision:
PAWS seeks a time when there are no homeless companion animals in south central Pennsylvania. Strategies:
•Facilitating the spaying and neutering of owned and unowned animals.
•Rescuing, fostering, and finding permanent homes for stray, abused, abandoned and otherwise homeless animals.
•Collaboration with other humane organizations.
•Raising awareness of the plight of homeless animals and ways in which individuals can reduce overpopulation. PAWS aspires to best practices established by well-respected organizations such as: Best Friends, Alley Cat Allies, Neighborhood Cats, Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project, and Best Friends' No More Homeless Pets movement, and understanding what the No Kill Movement is all about - and how it relates to PAWS which subscribes to the No Kill Philosophy.

If you’re looking for a cat buddy but prefer to skip the insanity of young kittens, check out this group.
These kitties are either older kittens or young adults. Equally as sweet with a bit more calm in the mix.

Welcome Lulu to the fam!
She's the absolute sweetest kitty. Once she gets her medical exam and is cleared for adoption she'll be looking for a quiet home. No slobbery dogs. She likes to maintain a drool free lifestyle. 😻
Who wants a work from home buddy? Lulu is qualified! ❤️

Juliet is looking for her Romeo.
Visit her at PetSmart Store 3254. She's amazing. She definitely wants to be included in all you do. Meals are super important to her. Having fun and one on one time are top priorities.
She's a blast.

The path less traveled.
Today a volunteer on her morning walk decided to take a path she doesn't use as often. It made all the difference.
She found this sweet boy, Simon. Only 3 months old with a severe injury. Had she gone her normal route, we don't know if he would've been found. His veterinary exam revealed a broken femur requiring surgery.
We have him scheduled for Monday morning.
If you're able, can you please donate towards Simon's care. Any amount will help us offset the expense of the surgery and replenish our emergency medical fund. The estimate is $5,238.43 - $5,508.43.
Today's rescue embodies all that is rescue.
A volunteer in the right place at the right time to help an injured homeless kitten, multiple volunteers willing to network for the help needed, and veterinarians and staff willing to go out of their way to help us help the Simon.
Please share Simon's story so we can ensure his care and for future kittens found along the path less taken.

Thank you Annville Veterinary Hospital for getting Simon in so quickly for his exam.

Thank you Animal Hospital of Dauphin County for your quick response to help get everything needed for Simon's surgery.

Thank you for your support! ❤️

Super cool Kreider hit the jackpot when he acted all cute with our volunteers at the TNR clinic. He got to come through our TNR to Foster program. He really appreciates his soft bed. It's great to see cats who have lived outside their whole lives curl up and really sleep. Relief.
Kreider is nursing a rodent ulcer. Meds are helping knock it down.
Lots of extra food and love for him so he feels safe.

Remember spay/neuter saves lives! Kreider is one of the lucky community cats that now gets the chance to live inside. Preventing homeless cats from being born is the way to stop so many cats living outside.
