This right here is how we save more lives. Tabby Trappers PA is a TNR org doing great work in York, PA area. We are proud to consider them partners and friends.
If you also want cool friends, give them a foĺlow.
Kitten is doing well. We cleaned her up, started on meds and she was chowing down before she left the clinic. Send healing energy her way.
I was out doing the Get Outdoors (GO)Franklin program with my kids when we found this guy in a field. I didn’t see any other kittens or cats, but immediately got on the horn to all my contacts in rescue and thank God, PAWS had a foster step up.
When Trappers say to leave healthy kittens at a colony until they are old enough to TNVR, we are not trying to be mean or insensitive, but rescues are overflowing and need to focus on more cases like this boys. I am not sure how much longer he would have had. Have we not been at the right place in time tonight. That is not to say that healthy kitten should not go into rescue at all, but unfortunately, they are not the high priority. This boy has a severe upper respiratory infection and fly strike. Luckily, only from what I can see, it does not look like any of the eggs have entered into the body so he may have a fighting chance. I will be calling the education center that we found him at tonight first thing on Monday to see if they know anything about any more cats or kittens on or around the property so no other kitten has to suffer at the same fate.
