If you were to adopt Sweet Cat Dante I am sure your lap would be his favorite spot. Dante is an older cat(8) and IS FIV+. Even with all the cats that come and go he is still in great health. He spends most of his time lounging around but as soon as you sit down here comes the biscuit making pro.he is a very special cat to me and I have witnessed his entire journey from Street Cat to Sweet Cat. Street Cats Armand and Magnus still get to enjoy a little playtime while they work on socializing. Armand is ready for his foster to adopt home and Magnus will be fully vetted Wednesday and can go to his foster or foster to adopt home next weekend. Street Cat to Sweet Cat Magnus has no business being at Street Cats to Sweet Cats Rescue. Super sweet and cuddly. He is very sweet and gentle with the kittens and greets me every time I enter their room. He is feeling so much better and is scheduled for full vetting next week. I am looking for a foster to adopt or larger rescue placement. Let's get this survivor a home. He Has survived such a harsh winter as a kitten and overcome the worst upper respiratory infection ever.

Happy Monday from Street Cat to Sweet Cat Izzy. For well over two years Izzy eluded me and often ran as soon as he saw me. I had all but given up but one early morning I headed into work just after 1am to set a trap for Street Cat Claire. Now Claire did not go in the trap that morning but maybe just maybe Street Cat Izzy decided it was time to retire from his harsh life on the streets. His fur was dirty, ears infected, and skin like leather. He was a true Street Cat. Almost immediately after being neutered his behavior softened. He began to groom himself and a totally different cat was taking shape right before my eyes. Izzy loves being pet, and even allows belly rubs on occasion. He is still very wary of strangers but we have time to work on that. All of this has happened in just under two months.

Hopefully there is someone out there for this sweet boy.

Part 2

Street Cat Amber came to me because as soon as she got her strength back and started to get healthy it was very clear that the was very feral/undersicialized. Most rescues do not work with ferals at all so my dear friend Susan reached out to me. I wasn't worried about a grumpy mama cat one bit. I was more nervous about a whole litter of kittens. Over the years she has had phases where she is friendly than back to grumpy. She went through a rough patch when her boyfriend Sweet Cat Baxter the Magnificent passed. She even ran away a few times. Through it all Street Cat Amber has always been treated like the queen she is.

Street Cat Amber is the longest resident at Street Cats to Sweet Cats Rescue. She came to me 10 years ago sick, dehydrated, and Trapped in a large carrier with 6 2 week old kittens who were also sick. She was being toted around on a hot August day to an adoption event. The late Susan Caruso of Kizzy's place noticed that these cats did not look well and offered to take them into her rescue. You are probably wondering how she came to be with me? Stay tuned for part 2 of this story.

Papa Cat has been with me almost a month. This poor 9 year old feral was in pretty rough shape. He had lice and fleas, giardia, and an upper respiratory infection that i have nick named "the ick". The entire colony had it and it delayed the whole process of TNR(trap,neuter, return) and the neuter of the 3 younger cats. For years and years Street Cats has taken in sickly TNR'ED cats that other groups had recently released.(Merlin, Chelsea the rainbow kitty, and Gatsby). Street Cats to Sweet Cats understands the importance of making sure that even ferals receive the medical care they need. No cat is returned until their ailments are treated. Following this has helped many cats become social and friendly. Who remembers Lord SweetCheeksII, Vernon, Nero the hero Kitty? If you are going to do a favor, do it 100%.

Morning Cuddles with Armand. Hard to believe that this little one still hisses at me every morning. He will ne neutered and fully vetted on the 17th and then his foster will take over.
