We figured it was time to properly introduce the people behind the Calm Clinic & Caravan! 💗🌸

We all do a little bit of everything around here, from keeping the clinic running to Wellness Rodeos, trainings, outreach, and all the things in between. We’re a small team doing a lot of things we really care about, and we’re pretty happy we get to do it together 🫶

Have you been curious about 5NP ear acupuncture? 💗

We talk about 5NP a lot around here, but we know there are still plenty of people who have no idea what happens in these recliners. Five tiny needles in each ear, a cozy recliner, and some time where absolutely nothing is required of you. 🌸

Our 5NP clinics are Tuesdays from 11 AM–1 PM and Fridays from 12:30–2:30 PM at the Calm Clinic. Treatments are $15–25 sliding scale, appointments are appreciated, and walk-ins are always welcome.

☔️ LOCATION CHANGE FOR TOMORROW! With rain looking pretty likely, we’re moving tomorrow’s Wellness Rodeo indoors to the Calm Clinic at 821 Salem Ave SW, Suite 102. We’ll still be offering free 5NP ear acupuncture from 2:30–4:30 PM, no appointment needed, plus a resource table with information and supplies from our community partners.

A couple more updates: October will be our final Rescue Mission Wellness Rodeo while we work on securing funding for a new stop in Southeast Roanoke. We’ll keep you posted as those plans come together! Also, there will be no Community Acupuncture tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23. 💗

Tell your NOVA friends!! Katie is headed to Vienna, VA this October to teach a POCA Auricular Acu-Technician (AAT) Training at Virginia University of Integrative Medicine! The three-day training will take place October 23–25 and prepares participants to use the 5 Needle Protocol in community settings.

Two stops, one very pink bus, and a whole lot of community care. Days like this are a pretty good reminder of why we do what we do. Acupuncture is part of it, but so is showing up, sharing resources, working alongside some pretty incredible community partners, and making care a little easier to access 💗🚌

Wednesday is a busy day for the Caravan! We’ll start the day with the Roanoke City Sheriff's Office Life’s Essential Pop-Up from 11 AM–12 PM, then head to Bedford for the Wellness Rodeo!

Join us from 3–5 PM at District 20 Probation & Parole for free 5NP ear acupuncture and connections to local community resources 💗💗💗

Today we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders, families, and communities forever changed by that day. “Unimagined Bridges” tells an important piece of the story that is especially meaningful to us, documenting how 5NP ear acupuncture was used to support first responders and others affected by the trauma of 9/11, and how that work helped shape its use in disaster response in the years that followed.

We remember those we lost and honor those who showed up to care for their communities in so many different ways ❤️
