Gawad Kalinga (GK, is officially known as the Gawad Kalinga Community Development Foundation, a Philippine-based poverty alleviation and nation-building movement. Our mission is to end poverty for 5 million families by 2024.

Thank you and Good bye 2021.
Hello! And welcome 2022. Happy new year 🎉
Thanksgiving we experience the blessings of God's presence and His goodness toward us. Even in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, job loss, sickness and even the death of a loved one - we can much to be thankful for.

God created us to receive the power of gratitude throughout the year, not just during the Thanksgiving holiday. When we give praise and thanksgiving we deepen our joy. As you count your blessings you are able to recall God's goodness. One of the best ways to give thanks is through prayer. When your prayer words align with your mind, you are able to experience the peace and joy of having a heart of gratitude. We have collected some of our favorite Thanksgiving prayers below to help you begin!

God is always with us. He has promised to never leave us. Rather than being anxious, we should pray, and we should pray with a thankful attitude. We should thank God not only for what He is going to do, but we should thank Him for what He already is doing. He has saved us. He provides for all our needs. He strengthens us when we are weak. He has promised not to give us anything that we cannot bear. Happy new year! God bless 🙏

Tropical cyclone RAI (Local Name Odette) approached the southern Philippines last December 16, 2021. Based on the reports, there were many Filipino people are affected and devastated by the typhoon, they have no choice but to move to safer place to evacuate. Typhoon Odette signals from 1 to 4 which was considered as one of the very destructive typhoons in the Philippines, especially Southern part of the country.
When disaster strikes, we are on the ground quickly lending our helping hands to provide essentials for the victims. However, we also need to consider the long term, rebuilding lives for children, families, and their communities.
Through your donations, the victims of the Typhoon Odette will somehow lessen the burden in their hearts and as well to provide essentials. Despite the difficulties they are encountering, they will still feel the presence of Christmas because of your kind hearts. The true spirit of Christmas is giving!
We, the GK USA Team is here to be a channel of blessings and serve as a medium to spread the love! God bless us all.

Good morning to all friends and neighbors,
Thank you very much for the gk mission. We have served Gk as Project Director, the two sites gk villages 2003 to 2021. I am the project Director in the Philippines for a long time, I remember that it was started when me and my wife became member of Couples for Christ that time until we went to the gk mission. This is probably the mission given by our Lord to us. We thought that we were done in the Philippines as a project director of gk, however, I realized that it was just the starting point of our mission. Here in US it was amazing that it turned out that my mission to gk usa was even became bigger as an area director of gk south dakota. I believe that this is what the Lord wants us to do, to continue the mission to help our poor countrymen in the Philippines. I hope and I pray that the Lord give us more wisdom and knowledge to facilitate the mission in order to help our community in gk USA and become a channel of blessing to everyone!
