🥎 HAPPY NATIONAL COACHES DAY 🥎
Today we want to recognize the people behind every Marana Fastpitch team who give so much of themselves to our girls. 🧡🖤
Our coaches are volunteers. They have jobs, families, packed schedules, and plenty of other places they could be, but week after week, you’ll find them at the fields.
They’re loading buckets, nets, and equipment into their own vehicles and bringing it all to the field. They’re putting out bases, setting up for practice, throwing batting practice, working through one more pitching drill, fixing swings, teaching signs, conditioning right alongside the girls, and staying late because a player wants just a few more reps.
And after everyone heads home, there’s still equipment to pack up and another practice or game to start planning.
But what our coaches give these girls goes far beyond softball.
They teach them how to compete and still be great teammates. How to shake off an error. How to step back into the box after a tough at-bat. How to work for something that doesn’t come easily. They lead by example and show our girls what hard work, sportsmanship, accountability, and being there for others looks like.
Our coaches aren’t just teaching softball. They’re mentors and role models for our players.
Wins are great. Championships are great. But years from now, our players probably won’t remember every score.
They’ll remember the coach who believed in them. 🧡
That’s what makes coaching at Marana Fastpitch special.
To every coach who has given their evenings, weekends, patience, energy, and heart to our players, thank you for being part of MFP and helping make this softball community what it is.
