In our third and last look at Netflix’s Adolescence Episode 3, we’re exploring how we could have shifted the dynamic for Jaime’s character by creating conditions for real change, grounded in the Compassionate Accountable Conversation skills from Growing a New Heart.

Here’s what that might look like:
- Being supportive while directly naming what needs to be changed
- Using the field of peace and self-regulation
- Staying connected even in moments of tension
- Using interrupters to guide dialogue

If you’re worried you might be harming someone, see harm unfolding, or are supporting a client through it, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Call us at 877-898-3411, open 10 AM–10 PM ET, 365 days a year.

In our second take on Netflix’s Adolescence Episode 3, we’re digging deeper into how we would have created the conditions for change for Jaime’s character, using the Compassionate Accountable Conversation skills framework developed by Growing a New Heart.

We would have practice:
💡 Limiting or setting boundaries by not asking personal questions
💡 Clarifying role
💡 Using selective attention (ignoring 80%)
💡 Creating shared attention to the goal

Remember: whether you’re worried you’re causing harm, concerned someone else is, or supporting a client who might be, we’re just a call away at 877-898-3411 from 10 AM to 10 PM ET, 365 days a year.

đŸ”„ Have you seen Netflix’s Adolescence Episode 3? Things get heated... fast.

Conflict doesn’t have to mean disconnection when emotions run high. At A Call For Change, we would have approached that moment differently by:

đŸŸ„ Affirming and redirecting the goal
🟩 Walking the emotional roads together
🟧 Establishing patterns of fact
🟹 Using consent

These Compassionate Accountable Conversation skills, developed by Growing a New Heart, help us stay present and connected in tough moments.
