Homes for the Homeless Pets is dedicated to the humane treatment of animals in the Universal City area. Homes for the Homeless partners with Universal City Animal Care & Control to help provide for needs including food, veterinary care, a spay and neuter program, supplies, and volunteer hours. All funds raised by donation and the resale shop go to these purposes.

Happy tails to Coco - this sweet baby has a new forever home! Adopted 6/3/2026.

Coco is a female spaniel mix puppy. She is just the sweetest little pup. She definitely has a voice and loves to be held!! She is very active but loving at the same time. She is about 5 months old and weighs 11 pounds. She has a beautiful brown and tan coat. We have already taken her down for her spay and have gotten treatment for cherry eye. She is so sweet and is waiting for her new forever family.

We are so happy our longest resident Lilly got adopted this morning! This sweet girl has been patiently waiting for a new forever home. We have finally found it!! She has been here since the first of October.
Our hearts and Lilly's are full!!

Happy Tails to Xamot!! He got adopted today and has a new forever home.

Meet Xamot (Zay-Mot). This handsome boy is the brother to Tomax who was posted earlier. He is also a black lab mix, around 1 year old and 42 pounds. Xamot is also a bit shy when you first meet him, but he is quick to open up and even quicker to roll over and accept belly rubs. Look at that cute face! He loves to invade your personal space and demand kisses, love and attention. He really is quite the cuddle bug. Stop by the shelter to meet him today! Interested in a duo? Adopted today May 22. Tomax has a new forever home. We are so happy for this handsome boy!!

Meet Tomax! This handsome boy is a black lab mix, approximately 1-year-old and 42 pounds of pure love! He's a bit shy at first, but once he warms up, he wants nothing but love and affection. Just look at that cute face! Just a heads up, photos do not do this cutie justice! His coat may look all black, but when the sun hits it just right, there's a beautiful tint of red to it. Happy Tails to Chloe! She has found her new forever home!

Beautiful Chloe is available for adoption! This sweetheart is an Australian Cattle dog mix with a gorgeous white and red speckled coat. She is approximately 7 months old and full of puppy energy! She LOVES to run, typical for the heeler breed... and if you have another high energy dog, she plays well with others!
