π€ Lady Dukes Recap MKP Future Stars Round Robin π
π€ What a day for kid pitch softball! The Lady Dukes finished the day 2-0-1, and it was incredible watching the girls adjust throughout the day. So many players collected their first kid pitch hits, and with every at-bat you could see the confidence growing. From the circle to the batter's box to the defense, this team showed just how much potential it has.
π Game 1 vs. Devil Dogs 8U (7-2 W)
The girls did a great job adjusting to seeing live pitching and continued to improve every inning. It was exciting to watch them settle in and start finding barrels.
π€ Team MVP: #17 Maisy Gorman
Maisy was outstanding in her first ever kid pitch appearance, throwing all 3 innings, striking out 9 batters, and allowing just 2 runs. She also helped herself at the plate, going 2 for 2 with an RBI.
π Game 2 vs. Franklin Regional 9U (16-0 W)
By Game 2, the offense was rolling. The Dukes collected 21 hits while the defense stayed locked in and didn't allow a single run all game.
π€ Team MVP: #87 Scarlett Strotz
Scarlett was dominant in the circle, throwing 4 scoreless innings and striking out 9 batters. She also had a huge day at the plate, going 3 for 3 with 3 RBIs.
π Game 3 vs. All American (2-2 T)
The Dukes wrapped up the day with another strong performance against a tough All American squad. After putting up 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning, the girls stayed locked in defensively and continued to make plays behind some outstanding pitching. It was a great way to cap off an impressive day of kid pitch softball.
π€ Team MVP: #95 Bella Savage
Bella battled through the heat and the third game of a long day to throw 4 innings while striking out 9 batters. She stayed composed, competed every pitch, and helped the Dukes finish off a great day of kid pitch softball.
π Looking Ahead
The Lady Dukes will hit the road next weekend as they travel north to Meadville, Pennsylvania for the Rebel Rumble. The girls continue to grow every week, and we're excited to see what comes next.
