WE WANT TO HEAR YOUR STORY

Voices of Home: A Community Storytelling Initiative

Voices of Home is a community storytelling project dedicated to preserving the memories, experiences, and voices of the people who have shaped—and continue to shape—Fayette County.

We're interviewing lifelong residents, newcomers, business owners, veterans, educators, community leaders, students, and everyone in between because every story is part of Fayette County's story

Voices of Home is made possible through the support of the National Road Heritage Corridor and Discover Fayette, a project of The Redstone Foundation

Through relaxed, 5–10-minute conversations, we'll create a podcast series, Fayette TV features, social media content, and a permanent digital archive that will preserve these voices for generations to come.

What Will We Talk About?
Simple conversations like:

-What was it like growing up in Fayette County?

-What brought you to Fayette County?

-When did Fayette County begin to feel like home?

-What place in the county holds the most memories for you?

-What do you hope future generations know about Fayette County?

There are no speeches, no preparation, and no right or wrong answers—just authentic stories shared in a comfortable setting.

We'd Love to Partner With You!

We would bring all of the equipment, handle scheduling if needed, and conduct 5–10-minute conversations with anyone who would like to participate. The atmosphere is informal—more like sitting down for coffee than giving an interview.

People of all ages, gender and backgrounds are accepted!

Host a Voices of Home Story Day, and we'll take care of the rest.

Whether your organization represents seniors, veterans, businesses, churches, civic groups, schools, or neighborhoods, we'd love to help preserve the stories of the people you serve.

Together, let's preserve the voices of Fayette County—one story at a time!
