Nori is here with a very big pasture fundraiser update! 💚

We have an incredible donor who has offered a 2:1 match for our Pasture Safety & Food Security Fundraiser. That means for every $1 donated, they will give $2.

So your $10 becomes $30.
Your $25 becomes $75.
Your $50 becomes $150.

This is such a huge opportunity for us, and we really want to make the most of it.

This fundraiser is about creating more safe, usable space for the residents who call Wild Pines home. As the sanctuary continues to grow, we need more pasture space, stronger fencing, and better systems in place to support everyone long term.

More pasture means more room to graze, more freedom to move, more enrichment, and a safer future for the animals already here, and the ones who will need us next.

Right now, we are stretched thin between daily care, ongoing projects, and rescue situations unfolding behind the scenes. Having donations go three times as far could make a huge difference in helping us move this project forward.

Happy Maize Monday 🌾💚🐄

We know we’ve been a little quieter than usual over the last week, and honestly, we have just been in over our heads. Between daily care, ongoing projects, limited manpower, and several rescue situations unfolding behind the scenes, there has been a lot happening all at once.

We’ll be sharing more in depth over on Patreon, including some of the things we haven’t been able to fully talk about here yet. If you’ve ever wanted a closer look at the daily reality of rescue, the hard moments, the beautiful moments, and everything that goes into keeping this place going, Patreon is one of the best ways to stay connected and support the sanctuary consistently.

Today we’re celebrating Chamomile and Trinity’s rescueversary!!! 💚🐇

These two hold such a special place in Wild Pines history because they were the very first rescues we took in after founding Wild Pines Sanctuary back in 2021.

They came to us as babies from a hoarding case involving over 300 rabbits, and from the very beginning they completely stole our hearts.

Over the years, their personalities have become so different in the sweetest ways. Chamomile is the social butterfly of the pair and loves greeting us in the mornings with little nose boops and demands for attention, while Trinity is much more reserved and prefers to hang back and let Chamomile handle the socializing for both of them 😅

It’s hard to believe how much time has passed already. We are so grateful these two found their way to us, and it’s impossible to imagine Wild Pines without them!

We want to be honest about where we are right now.

Over the last few months, several sanctuary needs have stacked up faster than we have been able to fundraise for them. Some fundraisers took longer than expected. Some expenses came in higher than planned. Some things had to happen quietly in the background because the animals needed them, whether we had the perfect post ready or not.

That has taken a toll, and we are trying to catch up while still making responsible choices for the animals already in our care.

So tonight, we are launching our Pasture Safety & Food Security Fundraiser with a goal of $5,000.

This fundraiser will help with two of the biggest needs in front of us right now: larger, safer spaces and food security.

The first major piece is fencing. We are working toward adding a new pasture area so the animals have more room to safely graze, move, explore, and experience the kind of freedom many of them were denied before coming here. More secure space also helps us make responsible decisions when animals need help, so we can say yes only when we have the space, safety, and resources to care for them well.

The second major piece is food security. We found a small hay baler that would help us preserve more of our own forage when the land gives us the chance. After a dry spring and a difficult hay year, having more ways to prepare for winter matters. It does not replace the need to buy hay, but it gives us another tool to stretch what we have, waste less, and build a better plan for keeping everyone fed through the harder seasons.

It may not be the flashiest kind of rescue expense, but this is the foundation of sanctuary life. Safe fencing means animals can move, graze, and explore with fewer risks. Food security means full hay feeders, stocked feed bins, and a better plan when weather, drought, and rising costs make everything harder.

We know this is a big goal. That is why every small donation matters so much.

A little soggy, a little dirty, and having absolutely zero regrets 💚

After days and days of clouds and rain, everything around here is soaked, muddy, and very happy… especially Briar 😅

The rain has been such a good thing for the plants, the grass, and helping everything recover from all the heat and dry weather!
