Even if you don’t live in Kenosha County, the impacts of projects like this extend far beyond one community.

Decisions about new fossil fuel infrastructure affect utility bills, public health, water resources, and Wisconsin’s energy future.

We encourage people from across the state to stand in solidarity by attending, speaking, or submitting a written public comment.

Our partners at Healthy Climate Wisconsin have created an action alert that includes hearing details, Zoom information, reminders, and suggested talking points:

Some of the concerns highlighted include:
• An estimated 91 premature deaths and more than $1.07 billion in health damages associated with the project.
• Water use of up to 335,000 gallons every day.
• Questions about who ultimately pays for infrastructure built to serve large industrial energy demand.

Can’t attend? You can still make your voice heard by submitting a public comment:

Eco feminism🌱🌍

Ecofeminism is a movement and philosophy that connects the exploitation of nature with the oppression of women.

As we dive into the political landscapes of environmental justice ,

We recognize how advocacy, community based networking , and grass roots organizing , protects, redefines and builds foundations for marginalized people.

We as black women are often exploited, extracted from just like the Mother Earth we reside in.

But just like the Earth we are capable of restoration, sustainability and sovereignty but with the acknowledgement and aid of all people—

At WEBB we will continue to fight for what is right and uplift the world we live in.

Millions of taxpayer dollars are being directed toward coal infrastructure at a time when we should be investing in the future.

Coal is one of the most polluting sources of electricity we have. It contributes to unhealthy air, worsens the climate crisis, and leaves communities paying the price through higher health costs and aging infrastructure.

Imagine what those same investments could accomplish if they went toward modernizing our electric grid, expanding clean energy, improving energy efficiency, and building a more resilient Wisconsin.

We don’t have to choose between reliable energy and a healthy future, we can build both.
On that same note Wisconsin faces proposals for new fossil fuel infrastructure tied to data center expansion, it’s more important than ever that our communities stay informed and speak up.

VOTE WITH WISDOM

Our event this past Saturday took off with festive energetic cultural drums , raising heartbeats and reminding us of an ancestral ritual bringing the people together,

Its rhythmic pace set the tone that invigorated the community’s questions— now that we got you here what will you do for the people?

This candidate forum did not take place in typical rooms, but where most black and brown people reside , on 12th & Center.

When you take a seat at the table you are no longer a passive bystander. You are a leader with the strength to demand respect and the authority to command the politics that are mutually beneficial.

The candidate forum proved to show and dispel myths that we don’t participate , it was proof that we are capable and we come in many numbers.

Over 300 of the people came to listen and talk to all the potential governors candidates about environmental concerns and the environmental transition and future for Wisconsin

We will continue on our progress towards environmental justice in Wisconsin and we want to keep building with you.

Who is to hold the power structure accountable if not we, the people?

In Ramona’s Story we see her as an everyday person battling the stresses of the increasing pressure of an exuberant amount of bills.

Now although her story is just fictional,

There a lot of people who cannot make ends meet due to the rate hike in We Energies bills and sometimes are forced to choose between groceries and the light bill.

It shouldn’t be like that.

With our Vote with Wisdom event we want to hold political actors to a standard where they can address such issues,

such as energy affordability the state of energy future in Wisconsin and eco justice for all residents in Milwaukee and more !

Join us (TODAY) June 27th 2026
North Division High-school
9:45 am -12:30pm

Hope to see you there ! 💓

As utility costs continue to rise, families are often forced to make impossible choices between keeping the lights on, paying rent, or putting food on the table.

WEBB fights to keep energy affordable, accessible, and equitable by advocating for sustainable solutions that prioritize people over profit and protect our communities from unjust systems.
