First cub scout meeting for this academic year at pioneer Elementary school for pack 273 ❤️. It was a great start and Cub scouts practiced on how to sell popcorn at storefront and how to accept the answer No from customers😊👍.

Golden Gate Area Council – Scouting America, together with Newark Vice Mayor Eve Marie Little, proudly presents the Inaugural "Heroes in the Community" Event!
📅 When: Saturday, October 4th | 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
📍 Where: Silliman Center, 6800 Mowry Avenue, Newark, CA

Join us for a one-of-a-kind celebration honoring the everyday heroes who keep our communities strong, safe, and thriving!

✨ What’s Happening:
• Kids will receive a bingo card at check-in and visit interactive “hero booths.”
• Meet firefighters, police officers, emergency workers, union workers, elected officials and non-profit leaders .
• Get your card stamped at each booth and earn a prize at the finish line!
• Scouts can complete advancement requirements while learning directly from community heroes.
