— Only God Could Do That

There are some things that happen in life and all you can say is, “Only God could do that.”

I remember needing something to be fixed. I had been calling, trying to get help, trying to get the situation handled. And then, after hours, someone from that very business called me and fixed the situation.

That was not coincidence.
That was not luck.
That was the hand of God.

Sometimes God will wait until man’s office hours are over just to remind you that Heaven is never closed.

He knows who to move.
He knows when to move.
He knows how to move.
And He knows exactly what you need.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”
— Romans 8:28

Do not give up because it looks impossible. God is still able to turn it around.

— Do Not Magnify the Enemy

One thing we have to be careful about is giving the enemy more attention than we give God.

Yes, the attack may be real.
Yes, the situation may be heavy.
Yes, the disappointment may hurt.
Yes, the delay may feel frustrating.

But the enemy is not greater than our God.

We cannot become so focused on what is coming against us that we forget Who is standing with us. We cannot talk more about the problem than we talk about the power of God. We cannot rehearse fear more than we declare faith.

The Lord is still our refuge.
The Lord is still our provider.
The Lord is still our defender.
The Lord is still our way maker.

“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
— Romans 8:31

Today, I choose to magnify the Lord, not the problem.

— Relationship Over Religion

God does not just want our public praise. He wants relationship.

He wants our heart.
He wants our surrender.
He wants our trust.
He wants our yes.
He wants us to know Him, not just know about Him.

There is a difference between calling on God only when we are in trouble and walking with Him daily because we love Him. There is a difference between religion and relationship.

Relationship says, “Lord, I need You every day.”
Relationship says, “Lord, lead me.”
Relationship says, “Lord, correct me.”
Relationship says, “Lord, I trust You even when I do not understand.”

God is not trying to be distant from us. He desires to be close to us.

“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.”
— James 4:8

This week, my prayer is simple: Lord, bring us closer to You.

— God Still Answers Prayers

God still answers prayers.

Not always when we want Him to.
Not always the way we expected.
Not always through the person we thought He would use.
But He answers.

There are moments when all you have is a word, a promise, a date, a scripture, or a quiet assurance in your spirit. And even when nothing looks like it is changing, God is still moving behind the scenes.

I have seen Him do it for me.

I have been in situations where I needed the Lord to come through, and all I had was what He gave me to hold on to. The day before, it looked like nothing had changed. But on the morning of the date He gave me, I saw victory.

That is the kind of God we serve.

“Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”
— Jeremiah 33:3

Do not stop praying. Do not stop believing. Do not stop trusting. God still answers.

— He Is Always With Us

No matter where you are today, the Lord is with you.

He is with you in the waiting.
He is with you in the uncertainty.
He is with you in the tears.
He is with you in the room when no one else understands what you are carrying.

Sometimes we look at the problem so long that we forget to look at the Problem Solver. We stare at what the enemy is doing, what people are saying, what the situation looks like, and we forget that God is still present, still faithful, and still working.

You are not alone. You are not forgotten. You are not uncovered.

The Lord has not walked away from you just because the situation has not changed yet.

“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.”
— Isaiah 43:2

Lord, help us to remember that Your presence is greater than our pressure. Help us to look to You more than we look at the problem.
