This past Sunday, we had the joy of presenting our children with new Bibles as they stepped into grade school and middle school.

We believe God’s Word is foundational to who we are and how we live. As we give these Bibles to our children, we are praying that they will grow to know God’s Word, trust His truth, and discover the unique ways He is calling them to serve Him.

Our hope is to invest in the next generation to live out our mission to Live, Teach, and Tell the Gospel so that all may encounter the Living God.

May these Bibles be opened often, treasured deeply, and used by God to shape a lifetime of faith.

Seeds have been planted. Growth is happening. The harvest is coming.

For generations, faithful people have invested in the mission and ministry of FBC Tyler - not simply for themselves, but for those who would come after them.

Today, we are watching those seeds grow.

Steel is rising. Progress is being made. And with every step forward, we’re reminded that Generation-to-Generation has never simply been about a building. It’s about creating space for people to encounter the Living God, grow as disciples, build relationships, serve others, and carry the Gospel into our community and beyond.

And we believe some of the greatest stories are still ahead.

Church Family, join us Sunday, August 30, at 5:30 PM in the REC Center for our Generation-to-Generation Seeds to Harvest Dinner. Together, we’ll celebrate what God has already done, hear exciting updates on the progress being made, and look ahead to the ministry opportunities this campaign will make possible for generations to come.

The seeds have been planted. Come celebrate the growth and look with us toward the harvest.

The view outside Pastor Pike’s office is looking a little different these days!

Steel is going up, the building is beginning to take shape, and the progress is happening right before our eyes!

But as exciting as it is to see these beams rising, they represent something much greater than a building. They are a visible reminder of the faithfulness of God and the generosity and obedience of His people.

“For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.” - Psalm 100:5

Through our Generation-to-Generation Capital Campaign, we are preparing spaces that will serve children, welcome families, strengthen ministry, and help us continue sharing the Gospel for generations to come.

To every person and family who has prayed, given, sacrificed, and faithfully supported Generation-to-Generation... Thank you. You are helping turn a vision into something we can now see taking shape!

And we’re not finished yet. As the steel continues to rise, would you continue to pray, give, and ask God how He might use you as we build toward the future He has placed before us?

This summer was about so much more than camps, mission trips, events, and activities.

It was about lives changed, faith strengthened, relationships built, the next generation discipled, and the Gospel carried from Tyler to the nations.

When we look back, we don’t simply see a full calendar.

We see the faithfulness of God.

We see a church family willing to go, serve, give, pray, teach, welcome, and invest in others so that more people might encounter the Living God.

And while we celebrate all that God has done, we believe He is still at work - and there is still more to come.

From Generation-to-Generation, we will continue to Live, Teach, and Tell the Gospel for the glory of God.

Things are starting to take shape!

This week marks an exciting milestone in our Generation-to-Generation Capital Campaign as steel is being raised on the north side of our campus!

What once existed only in plans and renderings is becoming a reality right before our eyes. These beams will help form our new Children’s Building and North Entrance - spaces that will welcome families, serve our church, and create new opportunities to share the Gospel for generations to come.

Every beam going up is a reminder of God’s faithfulness and the incredible generosity of our church family. We are so grateful for all God has done, and we’re excited for all that is still ahead!

The steel is rising. The vision is taking shape. And we’re building for generations to come.

Bobby’s story is a powerful reminder that God uses ordinary acts of faithfulness to accomplish extraordinary things.

As a child, someone faithfully brought him to Vacation Bible School at First Baptist Church Tyler. It was here that he first heard the Gospel. Today, he can look back and see how God used the faithfulness of one person to change the trajectory of his life.

That’s the heart of our Generation to Generation campaign. We’re investing in the generations to come so that children, students, families, and future believers will encounter the Living God for years to come.
