AND THE MADNESS CONTINUES FOR THE VOICELESS….a new button eyed boy!

Not certain what’s going on in the minds of folks these days, but if this was your flea infested, light heartworm positive 15 # absolutely adorable dog who’s not chipped dumped in the country over a week ago. Well, he’s ours now and almost fully vetted; will be neutered early this week. His foster mom may not let him go he’s such a keeper! 😜

Windy, thank you for catching him and calling us after hours for help! Thank you Kelli for stepping up late last night to stash him away overnight and to Diane for keeping this little nugget company! Appreciate you ladies!!!

We are trying to save a mom named Buttercup along with her 9 puppies. We have a foster for one single puppy so far. Here’s the information and their time is very limited. The puppies were just moved to isolation because they have an upper respiratory infection. They are starting on meds tonight.

Mama Buttercup and her 9 babies have been here for almost 2 weeks! Buttercup has patiently waited at the kennel door for someone to come be their hero, but sadly, I haven't been able to find anyone and now, the babies are starting to get sick. They are almost 7 weeks old and are still nursing as long is mom is around. She is patient with them, and is just the sweetest girl. I have almost no time to try to find her and the littles a place to go. They are so sweet and absolutely beautiful. It looks like a few might have blue eyes. Please help me find them rescue. Mom is 45 lbs and is only medium sized. I tried to take a picture that would show how tall she is. She is very chill. She is HW+. If you can help or know of someone who can help, please let me know!

He came into rescue as just a tiny 2-month-old puppy with a serious eye injury that required removal. Through it all, Levi showed nothing but strength and trust—he truly handled it like a champ.

Now, at 3 years old, Levi is back in rescue through no fault of his own… and ready to find his forever this time.

The Longview Adoption Center in Longview, TX currently has 92 animals in their care. This is one that needs out by 8:00 am in the morning. There many others if you are looking to adopt or foster. Please let us know if we can help!

Everyone is stretched so thin. If you see anyone that you want to save, please let the shelter know immediately! They have beautiful fully vetted dogs just sitting there waiting.

Juniper is their 2 year old old cattle dog who is 53 #, heartworm negative, kennel trained, walks great on a leash and she loves people! What else could you ask for?

Thursday Thoughts!

If you are a rescue you will never run anything the same way as another rescue. Some have facilities. Some have paid staff. Some have lots of overhead. Some have more money and donations than others. Some do local adoptions. Some transport. Comparing one rescue and telling them what and how to run their business is ridiculous. If you can’t manage your own facility, why are you trying to run someone else’s?

Just to be transparent, Angel Paws Advocates tagged 7 dogs from Smith County Animal Control this week to help avoid any euthanasias as a result of 38 dogs seized on Monday. We pulled 3 Parvo pups that would have died in May along with 4 other healthy dogs. We paid for the CPMA vaccines to try and save their lives. One vaccine cost over $300 per 11 # of body weight. We have invested a lot of money to help these puppies survive.

This is not a competition, but if you want to make it one knock yourself out and go pull dogs from the shelter. We refuse to play the drama game. We are here to support our public and shelters and save animals.

Quit posting false information and getting our city in an uproar. Rescue is hard enough without your unnecessary drama. Our volunteer team of 7 are working our tails off to save dogs. 5 of these volunteers work full time jobs. We are dedicated to saving lives and we refuse to play drama social media games.

❤️ Meet the Fabulous Five — Ready for Their Forever Homes! ❤️

Born on March 14th, these adorable Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mixes are a litter of love that overcame a tough start. After losing their mom at just a few days old, they were lovingly bottle-raised by their dedicated foster family. Now these happy, healthy, thriving puppies are full of energy, personality, and endless affection!

The Fabulous Five:

🐾Finn (Male) – The biggest pup with stunning golden merle coloring. Playful, outgoing, and always up for an adventure.

🐾Pip (Female) – The tiniest girl with the sweetest baby face. Loves to play but can be a little shy when things get too wild.

🐾Brooklyn (Female) – Beautiful blue merle with a calm, gentle soul. She’s the cuddler of the group and loves relaxing with her people.

🐾Willow (Female) – Striking cream-and-white merle with gorgeous blue eyes. Charming, confident, and knows how to wrap you around her little paw.

🐾Zoe (Female) – Full of personality and affection. This girl gives the best puppy kisses and wants all the attention!

This stunning black and white beauty was born on June 17, 2023 and is ready to find her forever family! With her gorgeous coat and sweet, expressive face, Wichita is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside.

Wichita is a loving, affectionate girl who adores people — both kids and adults. She’s full of love to give and thrives on snuggles, attention, and being part of the family. She’s also a playful girl who loves zooming around and having fun with other animals, especially other dogs (she’s great with them!). She is already spayed and ready to go to her new home.

Thank you Justin for fostering initially and for grooming this hot mess!

And now less than 2 weeks later, this sweet boy is a foster fail!!! Congratulations to the Rains family who are two-time adopters from APA! We love a happy beginning! ❤️
