🏨❤️ Sometimes the work doesn't stop just because we're away from home.

This week, a hotel room became our assembly station as we packed **8 more travel kits** for families at **St. Luke's Boise**. Every kit is filled with essentials to help make an unexpected hospital stay or emergency just a little bit easier.

💚 Trach & Medical Moms, let's help each other!

What's one tip, hack, or game-changing product you discovered, that no one at the hospital told you about? We are going to collect these tips and put them in a free downloadable guide on our website.

For us, it was using a baby bottle steam sanitizer to clean trach tubes. Total game changer! We just use a small warmer/sterilizer that cost like $25.

I would add in as well:
Soak up the time with your child as if you were at home, NICU memories can be equally as special.

Along with advocating, educate yourself on your child's diagnosis. The more knowledge you gain, the more effectively you can advocate. Ask your nurses and doctors questions, make the conversation a two way street.

Trust your gut but take time before you react to big news, your first reaction is rarely lasts long. If you need to ask for a moment to process, that's okay.

Do NOT ever hesitate to ask social workers, palliative care, charities and other hospital support staff when you are feeling overwhelmed. Even if it's not directly relevant to your baby, the hospital has resources to help the family as whole.
