We are so honored.

Two In Two Out was recently selected as one of 17 recipients of grants from First Federal Foundation. These funds will bring a massage chair and red light therapy panel to Burley Fire Department, and when coupled with additional corporate sponsorships, will complete a full wellness room for their firefighters.

A sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy panel, and massage chair. A complete space right inside the firehouse where firefighters can recover, decompress, and reset before coming home.

Gathering alongside incredible organizations from across the communities First Federal serves throughout Idaho was truly humbling. The work being done to support people in need across this state is inspiring.

Thank you First Federal Foundation for believing in this mission and for investing in the wellbeing of our first responders and their families.

This is what community looks like.

Twin Falls Reformed Church created a dedicated first responder room open to all Magic Valley first responders. Spearheaded by the incredible Lynn, this space was built out of pure love and care for the people who serve and protect us every day.

At the ribbon cutting they invited representatives from Twin Falls Fire, Twin Falls Police, Twin Falls County Sheriff, Magic Valley Paramedics, and St. Luke’s to cut the ribbon together.

That moment says everything.

Two In Two Out is honored to be working alongside Twin Falls Reformed Church as they continue building out this space for our first responder community.

This is what it looks like when a community decides its people deserve more.

They are on their way.

The first 30 Two In Two Out connection boxes have been mailed and are being received by first responder couples across the country.

These boxes are not a cure. They are a tool. A starting point for building vulnerability in the small moments so that when the hard days come you already know how to reach each other.

We are so grateful to ICCU, Plant Therapy, and Pepper Street Studio for making this pilot possible.

More boxes are coming in 2027.

If our story helps even one person feel less alone it is worth telling.

Wednesday night Chris and I traveled to Draper, Utah. A place that holds a lot of meaning for our family. Draper is where Deer Hollow is located, the place where Chris spent 42 days in residential recovery for his mental health. A place that helped start our healing journey and where I received family support and resources alongside him.

We stood up in a room full of clinicians, nonprofits, and community members who all showed up for one reason. To rally behind first responders and veterans and get them the healing they deserve.

We shared our journey. The hard days. The tools we have learned. The fact that healing is not a destination but something we work at every single day together.

What has moved us most throughout this journey is how many people across so many communities show up for first responders when given the chance. Our own community, his department, and so many others have walked alongside us in ways we will never forget.

To every first responder and family carrying something heavy right now, you are not alone. Reaching out is the bravest thing you can do. And there are people across this country who want to help.

Thank you to Healing First Foundation, 1st Watch Wellness, Deer Hollow, and every person and organization that has walked alongside us. You know who you are. We would not be here without you.

This photo means everything to us.

These are the people behind the programs that helped start our healing journey. And it is a journey we work at every single day together.

Chris struggled with his mental health. And I felt every bit of it alongside him. As his wife, as a mother, as his partner in this mission. Mental health in the fire service does not just affect the firefighter. It affects the whole family.

Wednesday night we had the honor of speaking at the Help4Heroes dinner hosted by Healing First Foundation, sharing our story openly because we know what it feels like to carry something alone. And we never want another first responder or their spouse to feel that way.

We are so grateful for the community that showed up in that room. Clinicians, nonprofits, and community members all rallying together to get healing to the people who protect us.

Thank you to Healing First Foundation, 1st Watch Wellness, and Deer Hollow for the work you do every single day. And to every person, organization, and department that walked alongside us in this journey, you know who you are. We would not be here without you.

Every weekend we do pizza and a movie. It is our family tradition.

When Chris is on shift the boys and I do it at home without him.

Tonight for the first time we brought it to him.

His second home. Rock Creek Fire District. The same station where Two In Two Out was born.

Connection takes intention. Tonight we chose it.

To every first responder family navigating the schedule and finding ways to stay connected, you are not alone. Find your version and bring it to them.

This is what recovery looks like inside a firehouse.

A space to decompress, reset, and begin to come home more whole.

We know wellness is not one size fits all. This room is one tool in a much bigger picture that includes therapy, peer support, and connection. But it is a start. And it belongs here.

This trail.

This is where Chris and I would walk and talk about what Two In Two Out could be someday. What we hoped to build. What we dreamed was possible.

It is already growing into more than we imagined.

To the corrections officers, dispatchers, EMS, nurses, firefighters, police officers, military, and every person who does the hard things every single day, this is for you.
