Straight from the firehouse.

When a Captain speaks to the value of recovery tools inside the station it means something.

Two In Two Out is building these spaces for first responders across the nation. One department at a time.

They carry it too.

The weight of the job does not always stay at the station. Spouses and families of first responders often absorb what comes home after a hard shift.

Many of us on the home side hold back too. Not wanting to add to the weight our first responder already carries.

But here is what we have learned. They want to know. Connection goes both ways. Vulnerability has to go both ways.

That is the whole point of Two In Two Out. Wellness resources inside the firehouse for the first responder. Tools like the connection box to help couples build the kind of connection where both people feel safe sharing the hard things.

Because the family is not just along for the ride. They are part of the mission.

The cold plunge.

One of the recovery tools available in Two In Two Out wellness rooms for first responders.

Cold water immersion resets the nervous system, reduces inflammation and muscle fatigue, improves circulation, and builds mental resilience over time.

This is not a cure. It is one tool in a bigger picture of wellness for the people who show up for all of us every single day.

Two In Two Out brings these resources directly into the firehouse so first responders can recover before the next call.

Two In Two Out is growing.

This wellness room is coming soon to Elburn and Countryside Fire Protection District in Illinois.
A sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy panel, and massage chair. A complete space for their firefighters and their families to recover, decompress, and reset.

We started in the Magic Valley. But this mission does not stop here.

We work with fire departments across the nation and we are just getting started.

If you are a fire department looking to bring wellness resources into your station, a potential board member, ambassador, or donor who believes first responders deserve better, we want to hear from you.

This work is only possible because people choose to be part of it.

This week community members are running 50,000 su***des to Beat the Hell Out of Su***de.

50,000. That is the average number of lives lost to su***de every year in this country.

We were honored to be invited to First Responders Night to share what Two In Two Out is building for first responders and their families.

Watching Twin Falls firefighters lace up and run alongside community members who showed up to bring awareness to mental health was powerful.

It is okay to need support. It is okay to ask for it. And it is okay to talk about the hard things.

Grateful to be part of this.

Twenty five years ago everything changed.

Today the Magic Valley came together at the Perrine Bridge to remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. The firefighters, police officers, paramedics, and first responders who ran toward the towers and never came home. The civilians. The families. Every life taken that day.

Idaho’s largest free flying flag suspended over the Snake River Canyon. A visible reminder of what we lost and what we continue to protect.

Thank you to Magic Valley 9/11 Memorial for bringing our community together every year to honor this day.

Never forgotten.

Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.

Every year more firefighters die by su***de than in the line of duty. That is not a statistic we say lightly. It is the reason Two In Two Out exists.

Today we had the privilege of sharing our mission alongside IT83 Fitness at the Stay Golden event at the College of Southern Idaho. IT83 Fitness was founded by our own board member Susie Millenkamp and was one of the inspirations behind bringing wellness rooms into firehouses. Seeing that connection come full circle today meant everything.

Talking about su***de is not comfortable. But silence costs lives. In the fire service and beyond we have to be willing to say it out loud so that the people carrying it know they are not alone.

If you are struggling please reach out to someone you trust. You are not alone.

Every call starts and ends at the station.

But what a firefighter carries after a hard call does not stay there.

First responders need a place to decompress, recover, and reset before they come home.

Two In Two Out is bringing that place directly into the firehouse.

We are so honored.

Two In Two Out was recently selected as one of 17 recipients of grants from First Federal Foundation. These funds will bring a massage chair and red light therapy panel to Burley Fire Department, and when coupled with additional corporate sponsorships, will complete a full wellness room for their firefighters.

A sauna, cold plunge, red light therapy panel, and massage chair. A complete space right inside the firehouse where firefighters can recover, decompress, and reset before coming home.

Gathering alongside incredible organizations from across the communities First Federal serves throughout Idaho was truly humbling. The work being done to support people in need across this state is inspiring.

Thank you First Federal Foundation for believing in this mission and for investing in the wellbeing of our first responders and their families.

The Burley Fire wellness room is coming soon. We cannot wait to share more.

This is what community looks like.

Twin Falls Reformed Church created a dedicated first responder room open to all Magic Valley first responders. Spearheaded by the incredible Lynn, this space was built out of pure love and care for the people who serve and protect us every day.

At the ribbon cutting they invited representatives from Twin Falls Fire, Twin Falls Police, Twin Falls County Sheriff, Magic Valley Paramedics, and St. Luke’s to cut the ribbon together.

That moment says everything.

Two In Two Out is honored to be working alongside Twin Falls Reformed Church as they continue building out this space for our first responder community.

This is what it looks like when a community decides its people deserve more.
