🇺🇲Tomorrow is the big day for "Operation: Chow Down" at .🍝🇮🇹

Join us from 11:00 to 21:00 to back your Tustin American Legion post. 20% of your bill will be donated to support us.

It was a profound honor for the Tustin American Legion Post 227 color guard to open last night's Tustin City Council meeting.

Our ceremony begins with a heartfelt prayer from our comrade, Ed, followed by the solemn sounds of the bugle. Mike with the Stars and stripes, Sy with the US army flag, Ryan with the US Marine corps flag, and Dylan with the US Navy flag marched in to present the colors.

This presentation was especially significant as we honor the monumental 250th anniversary of the Army, Marines, and the Navy this year. It's a privilege to recognize two and half centuries of steadfast service and sacrifice by these incredible branches.

We don't always have a photographer with us, so we're especially grateful for these wonderful images capturing the moment. We're also pleased to share our handmade star cards with the veterans in attendance, a small token of our immense gratitude for their service.

The mission changes, but the camaraderie lasts a lifetime. 🇺🇸

It was another great turnout for our weekly get-together, sharing stories and strengthening the bonds that were forged in service.

This is more than just a meeting; it's a new beginning where we continue to have each other's six, right here in our own community.

We were honored to have a representative from CalVet join us to provide crucial updates on the benefits and services available to California's veterans. Knowledge is power, and here are some of the key resources they covered:

CalVet Home Loans: Helping veterans and their families achieve the dream of homeownership.

Healthcare Advocacy: Assisting with access to healthcare and navigating VA medical services.

Education Benefits: Guidance on using the GI Bill and other state-level education programs.

Employment Assistance: Connecting veterans with job training, workshops, and employers.

VA Claims & Appeals: Providing expert help to file for the benefits you've earned.

This is what it's all about—continuing our service by supporting one another.
