The Rotary Club of Tustin Santa Ana is excited to announce the induction of Mayra Ramirez and Belen Morales as our newest members.

We are thrilled to have them join our Rotary family and look forward to serving our community together. From supporting local educators and providing scholarships to recognizing outstanding students, supporting seniors, and partnering with other nonprofits, we know Mayra and Belen will help us continue making a positive impact.

Our May 14 meeting was all about celebrating and inspiring the next generation of leaders!

Congratulations to our Students of the Quarter, Isaac Segovia of Hillview High School (TUSD) and Genesis Hernandez of Lorin Griset Academy (SAUSD). These outstanding students were recognized for their academic achievement, leadership, perseverance, and service to their schools and communities.

We also enjoyed hearing from Emma Garcia of Foothill High School, who shared her experience attending Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).

William Alvarado of Tustin Connect High School provided an update on Interact activities and shared what is happening at Tustin Connect. We appreciate William’s leadership and his continual dedication to Service Above Self.

Thank you to these amazing young leaders for sharing their stories and inspiring us all. We look forward to seeing the impact they continue to make in our communities!

Today, May 4, marks a historic moment in Rotary’s story. On this day in 1987, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that Rotary clubs could no longer exclude women from membership—opening the door to a more inclusive and diverse organization. One of the pioneers of this change was Sylvia Whitlock of the Rotary Club of Duarte, who went on to become the first woman to serve as a Rotary club president. Her leadership helped pave the way for generations of women in Rotary, strengthening our impact and expanding our reach in communities around the world.
