💜 Making Sure Every Child Is Considered

We are so thankful to share that That One Lamb was recently able to purchase over 50 hair care products specifically for textured hair! 🙌🏽

From braiding creams and styling gels to hair waxes, moisturizing creams, and other essentials, we are working to make sure the hygiene baskets we provide reflect the individual needs of the children and teens we serve.

Hair care is personal. Every child deserves to have products that actually work for their hair—not simply whatever happens to be available.

This purchase was made possible because of the people who continue to support That One Lamb. When you donate, this is what your generosity looks like. It allows us to recognize a need, fill the gap, and be intentional about the children we serve.

We are incredibly thankful for every donation, every shared post, every prayer, and every person who believes in what we're doing. 💜

Our goal isn't just to fill a basket. It's to thoughtfully fill it for the child receiving it. 🐑💜

We recently received an amazing haul of hygiene products for That One Lamb, and we are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to donate and support our mission. Every item that comes through our doors will eventually make its way into the hands of a child or teen who needs it. A very special thank you and shout out to Tommy Carter & Jim Henderson!

While we’ve been blessed with so much, there are still several items we are running low on and need to keep our hygiene baskets well stocked!

Today, we had the privilege of putting together two bags filled with hygiene essentials for two incredible foster families caring for a sibling set of five. We also included stuffed animals, hoping they bring a little comfort during a season filled with so much change.

Foster parents make sacrifices that most people never see. They open their homes, their hearts, and their lives to children who need safety, stability, and love. They stand in the gap during some of the hardest moments a child will ever face.

One of the most heartbreaking realities of foster care is that siblings are sometimes placed in separate homes because there simply aren't enough families able to take them all. Yet time and time again, foster parents go above and beyond to make sure those sibling bonds remain strong. They coordinate visits, celebrate milestones together, encourage phone calls, and remind each child that they are still a family.

We're incredibly grateful for foster parents who choose compassion over convenience and who work tirelessly to keep hope alive for these children. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus and for showing these kids that they are deeply loved and never forgotten.

Today was a beautiful reminder that our community truly cares. 💜

Because of the generosity of so many people, we were able to connect with 14 boys attending Teen Reach Adventure Camp Tuscaloosa and provide each of them with a hygiene basket filled with essentials. While these are everyday items to many of us, they can bring a sense of normalcy, encouragement, and the reassurance that someone is thinking about them.

We'd also like to give a special thank you to Cody Mitchell at CM4 Performance and Offroad for generously donating hats for the boys. Your kindness helped make each basket feel a little more personal, and we truly appreciate your support.

Every basket is a reminder that these children are not forgotten. Together, we're showing them that their lives matter and that there is a community standing behind them.

My heart is so full. 💜

Today, our community showed up in such a beautiful way for children in foster care.

Thank you to every single person who donated hygiene products, stopped by to encourage us, shared our mission, and served alongside us at Church of the Highlands. Because of your generosity, we are able to provide comfort and hope to children who often enter new situations with very few personal belongings.

Something as simple as a hygiene basket is a reminder that they matter—that someone they've never met cares about them.

To everyone who served today, thank you for giving your time, your heart, and your hands. And to everyone who donated, thank you for believing in the mission of That One Lamb. You are making a real difference in the lives of children and teens throughout our community.

Every time we meet a foster child and hand them a hygiene basket, we're reminded that every child has a different story.

Some are waiting to be reunited with their families. Some are hoping for an adoptive home. Others will one day age out of foster care without ever experiencing the permanency they long for.

A hygiene basket may seem small, but to a child who has experienced uncertainty and loss, it can be a reminder that someone cares. Our hope is that each basket brings a little comfort and a message they'll never outgrow: They are loved, they are seen, and they are never alone.

We're collecting hygiene products for foster children in need!

This Saturday, from 8am-1pm, we'll be at Church of the Highlands - Tuscaloosa Campus collecting hygiene items for That One Lamb, a local nonprofit that provides hygiene baskets to children and teens in foster care, group homes, kinship care, and families facing difficult circumstances.

We're accepting donations of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, lotion, feminine hygiene products, and hair care products for all hair textures and skin types.

Every donation, big or small, helps a child feel seen, valued, and loved. We'd be so grateful for your support! 💜🐑

Today was one of those days that will stay with me for a long time.

Because of your generosity, That One Lamb was able to provide hygiene baskets for 22 girls attending TRAC (Teen Reach Adventure Camp of Tuscaloosa).

Each girl arrived with her own story, navigating challenges most of us can't imagine. While their stories are all different, one thing they have in common is that they deserve to know they are seen, valued, and deeply loved.

A hygiene basket may seem like a small gift, but for a young person who has experienced instability or trauma, having their own shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothbrush, lotion, and other personal care items can provide a sense of normalcy and comfort. It's a reminder that they matter and that someone cared enough to think of them.

Seeing these girls smile and knowing they were heading into a week where they would experience the love of Christ through TRAC was truly emotional. We are so thankful to partner with an organization that pours hope into the lives of these incredible teens.

Our mission isn't over yet!

In just two weeks, we'll be providing hygiene baskets for the boys' camp, and we're continuing to raise funds to make sure every teen receives one.
