Today I had the opportunity to attend a trauma training conference hosted by the Foster Coalition and it was incredibly impactful.

Walking alongside foster families means recognizing that many of the children we serve have experienced deep trauma—and understanding that changes everything. Today was a reminder that behind every behavior is a story, and behind every story is a child who needs patience, consistency, and love.

As That One Lamb continues to grow, I’m committed to not only meeting physical needs through clothing and care items, but also growing in knowledge so we can better support the emotional and mental well-being of the children and families we serve.

This work isn’t always easy—but it is always worth it. 💜

Thank you to the Foster Coalition for creating a space to learn, grow, and be better for these families.

One of the most unexpected blessings of this season has been the relationships built along the way 🤍

What started as simply helping clients file their taxes has turned into something so much deeper—real conversations, trust, and connection. And through those relationships, I’ve seen people step in and give in ways I never could have imagined. This week, one of my clients donated 4 bags of children’s shoes to That One Lamb—just from a conversation and a shared heart to help others. It’s a reminder that this work is about more than numbers and paperwork. It’s about people.

Grateful for every client who has trusted me—not just with their taxes, but with their hearts and generosity too. 💜

This Easter, we’re reminded that hope is never lost, love never fails, and redemption is always possible. 🤍

Today, we lift up a special prayer for every foster family opening their hearts and homes, for every child walking through uncertainty, and for every biological family working toward healing and restoration.

Lord, we pray:
• For foster parents — give them strength, patience, and unwavering love in the moments that feel heavy.
• For foster children — wrap them in Your comfort, remind them they are seen, chosen, and deeply loved.
• For biological families — bring healing, guidance, and restoration where it’s needed most.

May this season of resurrection be a reminder that new beginnings are possible, even in the hardest places. He is risen… and with Him comes hope for every story still being written. ✝️💜

With Easter right around the corner, we’ve been able to bless so many foster families with button-ups and Sunday dresses. 🐣💒

There’s something so special about being able to walk into church on Easter morning feeling confident, cared for, and seen—and we’re honored to play even a small part in that.

We only have a small rack of girls’ dresses left, but our hearts are full knowing so many families were supported this week.

Easter is a reminder of the love of Jesus—how He gave everything so we could have hope, new life, and a fresh start.
And in a small way, that’s what we strive to do, to show that same love in action.

Thank you to everyone who makes moments like this possible. 🐑💜

Today reminded me exactly why That One Lamb exists.

We had the honor of helping an incredible woman who recently took in a sibling set of three. ❤️ She’s already raising her own special needs son, and without hesitation, she opened her home and her heart even wider.

When she came to us, she left with two garbage bags full of clothes—practical needs, yes… but also something deeper.

Support.
Relief.
A reminder that she’s not doing this alone.

This is what community looks like.
This is what love in action looks like.

There are so many families quietly saying “yes” to hard, beautiful callings—and they deserve to be seen, supported, and encouraged. Because of donations and support from people like you, we’re able to show up in moments like this. We love and appreciate everyone of you. 🤍

We wanted to take a moment to say thank you for your patience with us lately. We know we’ve been a little quiet on here, and we truly appreciate your grace. Behind the scenes, we’ve been hard at work organizing inventory to better serve the families who rely on us, while also balancing a very busy tax season with my small business. It’s been full days — but all for a purpose that matters deeply.

We’re also incredibly excited to share that we are now partnering with Bibb County DHR! They will be sending families directly to us after placements so we can help meet immediate needs and bring comfort during those first transitional moments. This partnership is such a blessing and a huge step forward in making sure families feel supported right away.

Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us, pray for us, donate, and share our mission. Because of you, hope keeps reaching the families who need it most. 🐑💜

This past summer, my bonus daughter attended a camp where there were several children from group homes. What stood out most wasn’t just their stories—it was what they carried.

Many of the kids arrived with everything they owned in a grocery bag.
Along with it, they may have had a pillow and a few small personal items.

When asked why they brought everything with them, they explained that if they didn’t, there was no guarantee their belongings would still be there when they returned.

Let that sink in.

In Alabama, there are around 6,000 children currently in foster care, but only about 2,300 licensed foster homes.
That means thousands of children are placed in group homes or facilities, often moving frequently and learning early not to get too attached to things—or places.

Something as small as a bag of hygiene items, a stuffed animal, or clothes that are theirs can mean comfort, security, and a sense of belonging.

At That One Lamb, this is why we do what we do.
Because every child deserves to know their things—and their story—matter. 🐑💜

🧼 Hygiene Drive for Foster Children. Small items. Big impact. 🤍

We’re collecting new hygiene items for foster children during January & February.

Simple things like soap, shampoo, and toothpaste can bring comfort and confidence to a child who needs it most.

If you’re able to give, we are so grateful. If you can’t, sharing this post helps just as much. Thank you for being part of the village. 🐑💜
