Congratulations to our Pack leaders for earning awards from the Black Warrior Council, Boy Scouts of America! We’re so proud! 🐾💙

Miss Casey and Ms. Debbie earned the inaugural Black Warrior Council "Hu-manate" award for their support and work with scouts with special needs. (The Special Needs Scouting Committee's animal is a manatee.) BWC will give this award yearly to a Scouter (adult) and a Scout (youth). It is very exciting that these two ladies from our Pack were chosen for the inaugural award!

Ms. Tammi was recognized for her leadership and training efforts with the Cubmaster Key Award!

This past weekend was one our Scouts look forward to all year — the Pinewood Derby! 🏎️

Cubs design, cut and decorate their own custom cars and race them on the track. In addition to 1st-4th place awards, the kids earned special awards like “Best Design” and “Best Workmanship.” 🏆

Everyone did a great job! And thanks to all our parent volunteers!! 👏👏👏

Black Warrior Council, Boy Scouts of America

Our scouts got to practice marksmanship and safety with BB guns, bows and sling shots at the Black Warrior Council, Boy Scouts of America’s Shooting Sports Day this past weekend. 🎯

The cubs had a blast while earning their shooting sports pins.

Whew! It’s been a summer full of adventure and fun for the scouts of Pack 90.

First, we took part in summer camp at Camp Horne in June, where the cubs got to do all the classic camp activities.

We also hosted a few summer pack sessions, including a trip to the University of Alabama Arboretum to learn about ecosystems and food chains while exploring.

Pack 90 took Talladega Superspeedway by storm last month for race weekend.

The cubs not only camped out but the track but got to meet a driver, watch the races, and take part in other exclusive activities for scouts.

The cubs had a blast exploring the Northport Bunny Trail last weekend while walking a mile to count toward earning achievements for their ranks. 🐰🥚

A little rain couldn’t stop these cubs from having a BLAST at Burchfield Branch a couple of weeks ago for our first spring camp out. ⛺️ 🎣🌲

They went fishing, explored, and tried a new way to make s’mores by dipping the roasted marshmallows in chocolate and rolling them in graham cracker crumbs. 😋
