Kane Sparks was a great kid who we had the pleasure of spending time with. When we first met it was actually at our house for our "Friends-giving" this past November 1st. Little Gabbie, his girlfriend, asked if it was okay for her to bring a plus one if she brought an extra banana bread that she made. He sat by the firepit enjoying meeting everyone in our local group, passing around a microphone with friends and even my grandson while we sang Karaoke after we ate a huge Thanksgiving potluck meal. His smile was contagious and you could see that reflect directly in his love for Gabbie Allen in the following months.

Several weeks later, the day after Thanksgiving, my wife and I had just rolled out of the carport for a ride around town only to get a picture sent to us from inside our house! Gabe, Autumn, Gabbie and Kane right at home on the couch and at the kitchen table. Needless to say, I know why they were there already and I replied back to them where to find the leftovers, plates and utensils (Not like I really had to tell them where to look) 🤣🤣🤣. We have a rather loose open door policy for our family of friends where they are always welcome to come hang out, enjoy a meal, or crash out if they need to.
Folks, don't get me started on the Co****le games. Although I didn't often participle, this boy would give everyone a run for that belt and he wore it proudly.
Prayers go out to our local community, our friends and his family for comfort in these difficult times. This is a hard one to get thru for many because he has such a positive impact on so many people.

There will be a GoFundMe link pinned in the comments to assist in times of this unexpected loss. There will be a celebration of life for Kane in the coming days which we will share a well as a memorial ride TBA at a later date.

Share your love for your family of friends because you never know when their light may fade. Gone in a flash or flicker out over time. Hold them close and know that they will be there with you thru every ride down the road.

I personally had a rant on North Mississippi Drivers Information a few weeks ago to try to inform people that we SHARE THE ROAD & to PAY ATTENTION. Our friends and family are out there because my wife and I had nearly been hit 3 times in 4 days. I started this with a goal of helping local riders, friends that ride alongside us each and every day. It really hit different when it's one of your own. My 17 year old son was riding down North Gloster (Tupelo) last night and someone pulled out in front of him, clipped him and sent him across oncoming traffic and down the shoulder. They took off and left the scene. Witnesses from Blue Canoe and other motorists gave statements to police. Keep my son in your thoughts and prayers. We will be having several back and forth trips to Memphis for Neuro and Ortho. He has a mild sprain to his ankle and a fractured cervical vertebrae. He's a trooper and already planning on his next set of two wheels. Huge thank you to our Tupelo Riding family for checking in on him at the scene, at the hospital, and making sure my wife kept her head straight thru all of this.

Love yall & God Bless

While we are waiting for our Non Profit Status to be approved please take a moment to help out one of our neighbors from Tennessee recover from a hit and run accident that has changed her life. Our friends with Law Tigers and Helpvy are crowdfunding to help Kayla recover

Next up for us at Chrome Meets Thunder: we are working to establish what we hope to be one of the greatest assets to the motorcycle community- looking out for one another.
Our first event, had a goal in mind to help one of our own in times of need from an injury. During the organizing process, we realized that we could do so much more for so many.

Going forward, look for us to plan rides, shows, raffles, and so much more to go towards bikers helping bikers in Mississippi. We as individuals know that riding is much more than just 2 (or 3) wheels to the road. It's about friends, neighbors, a community where we look out for the safety and well being of those that would do the same for us.

Our mission going forward as we are going thru the process of establishing a non-profit organization is this:

"At Chrome Meets Thunder, our mission is to stand with riders when the road takes an unexpected turn. We provide vital financial relief to motorcycle riders facing accidents and injuries, easing the immediate burdens that threaten their financial well-being. Guided by integrity, compassion, and accountability, we ensure that documented needs are met so every rider has the support to heal, recover, and ride again."

Look out for future posts and always Ride Safe!
