PKM is a nonprofit equipping students through education, skills, and sustainable systems. Our Story:
Living Out a Promise. “I am coming back for you!” “...when I grow up, I will come for all of you, Amen…” were words promised daily by a young, orphaned girl in Uganda. In 2009, those impassioned, never forgotten, words of Petra Otee Mangesho, became the driving force behind the founding of PKM, a 501-c (3) organization in the USA.

From Brick making to Code writing
Hey!

I’m Atyam Samuel, born in Ogobi village, Aduku.

I come from a family that couldn’t raise a single coin for school fees. My academic journey started on my knees in prayer, and my hands in the mud making bricks to pay my own way through school. Some days I wondered if education was even for me.

Then God answered through Petra Kids Ministries.

They stepped in when I had nothing. They paid my school fees, provided what I needed, and stood with me all the way. Thanks to Mama Petra Otee Mangesho, the team, and every well-wisher who believed in a boy from Ogobi village.

Today, by God’s grace and Petra Kids Ministries’ support, I am an IT professional transforming young minds in Petra Tech Hub lira and in the world of technology.

This is not the end. It’s just the beginning. More is ahead, and I’m committed to lifting others as I was lifted.

Here’s my ask:
There are many more Atyams in rural villages right now—smart, willing, but stuck because of school fees.

For 15 years, Petra Kids Ministries (PKM) has been restoring hope in Northern Uganda. Today, 800+ students are being educated and mentored through our schools, vocational programs, and tech hub.

💛 $450 sponsors one child in secondary for a full year and $360 a primary student— covering tuition, meals, uniforms, supplies, Christian mentorship & other extracurricular programs.
