Training Alert-High Risk Vehicle Stops, Instructor Workshop

Course Description:
High Risk Vehicle Stops Instructor Workshop takes a critical look at the traditional “Felony Car Stop”. An extensive live vehicle ballistics demo on various mediums will examine bullet deflection and deformation. A comprehensive look at vehicular cover and concealment will then be directly applied to the footwork and logistics of high risk stops and approaches.

During the CLEET Graduation today, OSPOA recognized Dickson Police Officer Courtney Robson with the Top Academic Award and Woods County Deputy Clayton Phillips with the Top Shot Award.

During the same ceremony, OACP recognized Drumright Police Officer Ashley Siddiki with the Leadership Award.

This one day course is designed for first responders who face repeated trauma and are expected to carry it without pause. Participants will explore the real factors driving su***de risk, including chronic stress, hypervigilance, substance use, and cultural barriers to seeking help. Through interactive discussion and real-world application, this training introduces practical tools to recognize warning signs and have direct, life-saving conversations. Attendees will learn to apply the CCDR model to respond with confidence and connect others to appropriate care. This isn’t about theory—it’s about equipping those who protect others to also protect themselves and their own.

After careful consideration, the OSPOA Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming 2026 Annual Conference scheduled for August 11-13, 2026 at CLEET.
